NEW WEDNESDAY NIGHT TIME STARTS THIS WEEK! 6:30 PM We are excited that this is our 5th year for Mission Thanksgiving. Clear bags with directions have been placed at tables on each side of the Worship Center beginning Today. We need about 600 bags to give to kids at New Hope and Lacey Springs. Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ will be preparing the bags for the Owens Cross Roads School. The filled clear bags need to be returned by Sunday, November 15. You can return the bags to the tables where you picked them up or to the stage that Sunday. The youth group will help finish the bags by adding turkey vouchers or canned ham/chicken and cards on Sunday afternoon. We will deliver this year on Friday, November 20 since the kids are out of school a week for Thanksgiving. We are excited that this is our 5th year for Mission Thanksgiving. Clear bags with directions have been placed at tables on each side of the Worship Center beginning Today. We need about 600 bags to give to kids at New Hope and Lacey Springs. Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ will be preparing the bags for the Owens Cross Roads School.

The filled clear bags need to be returned by Sunday, November 15. You can return the bags to the tables where you picked them up or to the stage that Sunday. The youth group will help finish the bags by adding turkey vouchers or canned ham/chicken and cards on Sunday afternoon. We will deliver this year on Friday, November 20 since the kids are out of school a week for Thanksgiving.

CANCER SUPPORT GROUPThe Cancer Support Group will have a Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday, November 9 (not Nov. 2) in the Fellowship Hall. The potluck dinner will begin at 6:00 pm. Drinks, turkey & dressing will be provided. The Rocket City Chorus will provide entertainment. Please plan to bring a little extra food for our visitors.

TUESDAY LADIES BIBLE CLASSLadies Bible Class meets in the Garden Room from 10:00-11:00 am. Come meet and fellowship as we study Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Teacher will be Patty Smith.

WEDNESDAY MORNING MEN’S CLASSThe Men’s Bible study meets at 9:00 am in the Family Theatre. Our new study is the “One Another” passages in the Bible. Join us each Wednesday morning.

BIBLE STUDY FOR WOMENBible Study for Women (BSW) meets on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am in the Garden Room. The topic for this session will be “Lessons Learned from the Upper Room.”

BRIDAL TEAThere will be a bridal tea honoring Haley Saylor, daughter of Russell and Cindy Saylor and bride-elect of Bennett Smith, Today, from 1:00-2:30 pm in the Garden Room. They are registered at Belk, Target and Walmart. Lead hostess is Margaret Mann.

BABY SHOWERThere will be a baby shower for Holley & Aaron Tew on Wednesday, November 4, in the Fellowship Hall after Bible Class. They are expecting a boy and are registered at Babys-R-Us, Target, and Justsimplybaby.com.

There will be a baby shower for Jamaya & Lynzey Smith on Wednesday, November 11, in the Fellowship Hall after Bible Class. They are expecting a girl and are registered at Target.

LAMBS LADIES NIGHT OUTAttention all ladies! The LAMBS committee is presenting Dinner, Dessert, and a Movie on Thursday, November 5 at Mayfair. Dinner will be at 6:15pm, the movie begins at 7:00 pm. Cost will be $10. Sign up at the registration table today for great food, fun and fellowship!

MADISON ACADEMY SOUTHERN TRADITIONThe Ladies Association of Madison Academy (LAMA) invites you, your family, and friends to come and join the fun. Southern Tradition will feature a carnival, bake sale, gift and furniture market, silent auction, and Madison Academy’s own Cotton to Countdown Cafe.  The cafe will be serving biscuits, cinnamon rolls for breakfast, barbecue, beans, cole slaw, and cornbread for lunch. The event will be Saturday November 7, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm.

RAINBOW OMEGAThe Rainbow Omega Dinner will be on November 12, at 7:00 pm at the Davidson Center. The speaker will be Olympian Scott Hamilton. He is a survivor of testicular cancer and a brain tumor. He has a wonderful uplifting message. If you are interested in tickets or sponsoring a table, please contact Tim Bell, Scotty Sparks, or Brian Hinson. Thank you to all who served and/or attended last Sunday’s Funfest Family Fall Carnival. We had hundreds of children and their families on our campus and we were blessed with a wonderful afternoon!

PARENTS WITH CHILDREN - Please find information regarding Bible Classes for babies-5th Grade at our Children’s Information Desks. There are several attended nurseries during worship for ages 0-24 months, along with diaper changing and nursing mothers’ areas. All guest children need to be registered at our Children’s Information Desk before going to Bible class.

TODAY - 3RD – 5TH GRADE SERVICE PROJECT AT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB - Our 3rd-5th Graders have a service opportunity on Monday, November 9 from 3:30-5:30 pm at the Boys & Girls Club (103 Abingdon Avenue  35801). We only have space for approximately 12  kids.  You can sign the list posted on the MCM News Board (just outside the Elementary Hallway) no later than next Sunday, November 8.

TONIGHT - NO FAMILY LIFE GROUPS AT 5 PM - We will resume next Sunday.

MAYFAIR UPWARD BASKETBALL - EVALUATIONS & FINAL REGISTRATION is tomorrow night in the Gym (between 5:30-7:30 pm). All K - 7th Grade boys and girls registered or who would like to register for Upward Basketball this year will have uniform sizing and a brief evaluation (takes about 15 minutes) for each child. We will also be conducting these on Tuesday (between 5:30-7:30 pm) and Saturday (between 9-11 am). You can pick which day to come. WE WILL TAKE NEW REGISTRATIONS ANY OF THESE DAYS AS WELL.

THIS WEDNESDAY - 4TH & 5TH GRADE LEADERSHIP TRAINING - A special series (13 weeks) of leadership training classes (prayer, scripture reading, speaking, teaching, song leading, etc.) begins this Wednesday night at 6:30 pm for our 4th & 5th Grade boys (Jon Townsend is leading) & 4th & 5th Grade girls (Crystal Waggoner & Rachel Lawrence are leading).

3RD GRADE PRAYER WARRIORS MEETING - This Wednesday, November 4, our 3rd Graders will have a special Prayer Warriors session during class at 6:30 pm with Frank Cantrell.

MCM SUMMER INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED - Our Children’s Ministry is accepting applications for interns for summer of 2016. For additional information contact our MCM offices or go online to MCM Summer Intern Ministry.
