Last Month’s Question:Which American historic event did not occur on July 4?
The Correct Answer Was: A. Congress votes for independence (1776). So, you launched a new website – now what? You may have paid a lot of money for it,
and you want it to be seen, right? You wouldn’t buy a luxury car and never take it out of your garage, so don’t do the same with your website.
1. How To Market Your WebsiteThe rst thing you will want to do after launching your website is install Google Analytics or some other analytics code so you can determine the tra c you are getting to your website. If you are uncomfortable with going into the code of your site then nd a web development company that can help you.2. Get Ranking in Search EnginesShould you decide to do it yourself and you still aren’t really seeing any tra c to your website or rankings, then you will want to hire an SEO company. Ranking in Google isn’t immediate, however. A brand-new website may take some time until it is indexed by search engines. Even for an established website, it typically takes 4–6 months to start seeing results from an SEO campaign.3. Set Up Your Business ListingsNext, you’ll want to set up or claim your business listings. This is necessary, as Google looks at these to determine if your business is legitimate. Keep your name, address, and phone number consistent across every business listing. These are referred to as “citations,” so you want to get as many citations or mentions of your business name, address, number and website on as many reputable listings as you can.4. Get Instant Results with Google AdWordsIf you can’t wait for the organic tra c to come, then you can pay for tra c to your website. The best way to do this is to use Google’s Pay-Per-Click program. This allows you to show up on the top and right-hand side of search results. Using PPC is a great way to see how your website is performing and after a few weeks of letting campaigns run, you can begin tracking which keywords work best for your business.5. Get SocialYou will want to create and set up social media pages so that others can easily nd your business. If you aren’t on social media, your customers might not be able to nd you. Create social media accounts for the major networks like Facebook. Don’t overwhelm yourself trying to develop a presence across all the social networks.6. Start a BlogThere are many bene ts of blogging for your business. Just make sure your content is original and that you’re not copying and pasting content from other sites. Google frowns upon this, and they even created an algorithm called Panda that ghts this issue. Your website can be penalized for having duplicate content.7. Get ReviewsYou will want to start to get reviews. Ask your best customers if they wouldn’t mind leaving a review on your Yelp, Facebook, or Google+ page. It is especially important to get reviews for your Google+ page, because these help your business website to rank higher in the local search pack.By following these steps, you can ensure that your new website will be seen by the widest possible audience!Let EZSolution help you! Jay Ebersole, local businessman and co-owner of Greentree Self Storage, East Point Storage, and Elm Self Storage found himself in a unique and di cult situation a few months ago when his web hosting company changed hands. All three of his websites went dark with very little notice. Jay came to EZSolution to build him three new websites. We had a chat with Jay recently to discuss his experience working with the sta at EZSolution.
Ebersole knew he would end up with a quality solution, as he had experience working with EZSolution before. “I own Weber Surveyors and EZSolution had done our company website,” he said. “What I liked most was knowing that, in the end, we would end up getting exactly what we wanted.”
For Ebersole, there was no question about the company he would enlist to help solve his missing website problem. “You know, I really like working with EZSolution,” said Ebersole. “That’s why I went to them! They were the right company to work with.”
With three websites down, Ebersole was racing against the clock. In the rental business, even a little bit of downtime can hugely a ect a company’s bottom line. No websites to direct potential clients to could end up causing Ebersole to lose business fast. “We need to keep people on the waiting list, and we need to keep people coming in,” he said. “Because, you know if you have people leave or stop paying, you’re going to be in trouble. We needed to keep renting.”
The EZSolution team kept Ebersole’s goals for a quick turnaround in mind
throughout the project. “When they worked on the original Weber site, I liked their persistence. In fact—if they wouldn’t have kept after me, it probably would have taken twice as long. So I did appreciate working with them on our three new sites.”
“We actually got three of them done, because they were sort of clones of each other, in 90 days,” Ebersole said.
Jay congratulated EZSolution on a job well done. “I am very well satis ed with what EZSolution did. Now, we’re back up and running and full again.”
Would he recommend EZSolution again? Ebersole said, “I already have—lots of times.”
Thanks so much to Jay Ebersole for his kind words, and for taking the time to talk with us! 6 Things to Consider Before Moving to the Cloud

“Writing relevant copy for your website will increase your visibility, boost your repeat visitors, increase your sales, and create more educated consumers for your products and services!”
Tom Malesic President
It’s almost impossible to have a discussion about networking technology today without talking about “the cloud.” In fact, as of 2014, nearly 90% of all business have adopted cloud technology to some degree. If you’ve been thinking about moving to the cloud, here are six things to consider before you make your move.1. How Will You Use the Cloud? There are many ways to deploy cloud technology in your business. As a business owner, it’s important to decide why you want to move to the cloud in the rst place and what you expect the potential gains will be. Hosted email, robust disaster recovery, document storage, and backup are all ways you can take advantage of cloud technology.2. Understand the Advantages of the Cloud. With cloud technology in place, it’s possible to work from virtually anywhere. Employees can access documents while they’re out on the road, at home or from a co ee shop or hotel room. Cloud technology has provided unprecedented opportunities for sharing and collaboration that were unheard of even ve years ago.3. Understand the Disadvantages of the Cloud. While there are many advantages to cloud technology, you should also examine some of the pitfalls that come from relying on cloud technology. This may help you evaluate if moving to the cloud is the right decision or help you make contingency plans when things aren’t working. Provider downtime, maintenance, glitches, and other issues could cause a dip in productivity or customer service. 4. Plan for a Learning Curve. Moving some, if not all, of your business infrastructure to the cloud will involve time and training to familiarize yourself and your sta with a new way of doing things. If you’re using cloud-based software, it might work di erently than standard desktop applications. And
any new functionality, like sharing and collaboration, will need to explained so everyone can take advantage of it.5. Consider Security. Safeguarding sensitive data becomes even more critical when moving les to the cloud. You will need to establish new policies to allow the safe sharing of data, while simultaneously protecting that data. Be sure to ask questions about security before moving your services to any cloud provider. 6. Who Will Manage Your Cloud Services? While it is possible for small and medium-sized business to manage their cloud deployment on their own, rapidly changing technology can make that deployment confusing and time-consuming. If you’re moving much of your company’s infrastructure to the cloud, consider working with an IT provider that can help make your transition as smooth as possible. Are you getting the best value out of your IT budget? To review your current IT strategy and talk about our managed services options, please give Chris DeMeo a call at 717.801.1393.
