Three Indonesian women entrepreneurs chosen as EY Entrepreneurial Winning WomenTM 2015 Class Of WinnersThe long and diligent process of the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women (EWW) 2015 which started on April 2015 has culminated with the announcement of three Class Of Winners in EY EWW 2015 Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, 30 September 2015 at The Financial Club Jakarta.

Among six finalists, Grace Judio-Kahl (LightHOUSE WEIGHT CONTROL CLINIC), Inwi Christine Willy (PT Sissae Internasional) and Katrin Suthajaya (CV Sri Djaya Bali) were chosen as EWW 2015 Class Of Winners for their achievements in building and managing their businesses.

“The Class Of Winners have been an inspiration through their showcase of perseverance, clarity of vision and mission, contribution and determination to fast-forward business,” said Shalini Gopalan Menon, Head of Panel of Judges of EY EWW 2015.

The Class Of Winners were selected by a panel of independent judges consisting of Indonesia’s business academics and practitioners. They are Shalini Gopalan Menon (President Director of AIMIA), Alexander Joseph Ibnu Wibowo (Faculty Member of Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics), Daniel Surya (Group CEO of WIR Group Indonesia), Ita Yuliati (President Director of PT Alita Praya Mitra) and Shinta W. Dhanuwardoyo (Founder & CEO of PT Bubu Kreasi Perdana). The criteria applied in EWW judging process are leadership and integrity, originality, management, financial performance, clarity of business plan and goal, and degree of difficulty. Opened with a forum of discussion themed Unleashing women entrepreneurs’ power in fast-forwarding business, the EY EWW 2015 Awards Ceremony presented the audience with Anne Patricia Sutanto (Vice President Director PT Pan Brothers, Tbk.) and Shalini Gopalan Menon as speakers. They shared their own entrepreneurial stories, along with the challenges women entrepreneurs may face in their journey and key things they can apply to fast-forward their businesses.

Anne Patricia Sutanto said that women entrepreneurs need to work hard and smart since they have multiple roles and responsibilities; as a company leader, a wife, and a mother. Speaking about the effective leadership style, Anne uttered, “I lead by example. I do the things I want my people to do before I tell them to do so. People do not look down to find examples. They look up to you as their leaders.”

Shalini added that the underlying principle to fast-forward business is to set a bold and clear business goal and have a big vision as she told the audience her story of starting the very first customer relationship management (CRM) company in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the selection of Indonesia’s representative for EY EWW Asia-Pacific 2016 is currently underway. The chosen EWW alumna will join the other most dynamic Asia-Pacific based female entrepreneurs in a private conference program next year.
