Word From The PresidentHow time flies! Without realizing it, we have completed the first quarter of our term! Kudos, all exco members for your constant endeavors, patience and efforts to make our club, “Efficient, Effective, Excellent”.

In August, we celebrated our Club Officers Installation Night with pomp, style and fanfare with great excitement!

In September, we had an invigorating health farm trip which fostered closer ties and relationships within our Toastmasters’ family.

In this short period of time, we had also bid farewell to one of our most earnest, enthusiastic and rapidly improving Toastmasters member, Mohammad Yousuf Shegiwal, CC and his compatriot, Enamullah Kooshan who returned to their homeland, Afghanistan after completing their Masters degree.

We hereby also welcomed Alicia Wong Shu Pei who joined us in August and Mok Pei San who joined us in September and we guarantee that both Alicia and San will travel, enjoy and excel together with us in our great Toastmasters’ journey.

As all the exco members are relatively new and inexperienced in Toastmasters’ matters, we have a board of Committee Members comprising the greats like, SK Ratnam, DTM, Kwa Ngan Eng, DTM, Michael Chan, CTM, CL and PY Wong, ACB to rely on during challenging moments.

We are also very fortunate to have as our Advisor, Shirley Bak, DTM to help us in all Toastmasters’ matters, big and small, and to lead, advice and guide us along this educational path.

We endeavour to surpass the normal and emerge as excellent Toastmasters to make all our seniors and our club proud of us.

Extol Toastmasters Club has enjoyed sixteen years in existence and we believe that we have many happy, eventful and fruitful years to come!

When we are “persistent”, we discovered that “problems are meant to be solved”.

It is not a new discovery but a new realization. Learn to let go of things, for whatever belongs to us shall return to us, whatever that will not stay with us, will be difficult to hold on to. A valuable lesson learnt from this meeting.
