Extend Smart View Add-In

Installation Save the xlam file on your local machine in any directory. In the excel add-in dialog browse to the file

Note: This add-in requires Office 2007 to run.
Usage Once installed the add-in will add a new ribbon to Excel called ‘Extend SV’. This ribbon allows you to
refresh all worksheets and workbooks, submit data for all worksheets and workbooks, and store key
options with the workbook so when another user opens that workbook they can use the options the
creator was using.

Go to Options:
Suppress Missing data
Replace Missing label with a different string say “-“
Refresh your grid

Go to the Extend SV ribbon, Options and click on “Save Options”
A new “SV Options” sheet will be added at the end that lists all you options.

Save the file and send to another user.
The new user can now go to the Extend SV ribbon, Options and click on “Save Options” to inherit your
options.

Once done viewing your report, the new user can go to the Extend SV ribbon, Options and click on
“Reset Options” to revert back to his/her initial options.
