Expo Light Rail Line CONSTRUCTION NOTICE K-Rail Installation: 7th Avenue to La Brea Avenue During the construction of the Expo Light Rail Line it is important to secure the right-of-way (ROW) along Exposition Boulevard for safety reasons. Securing the ROW by installing K-Rail allows the contractor to prepare the ROW for utility relocation and light rail construction. K-Rail are concrete barriers used to separate construction activities from the public. Each K-Rail weighs 8,000 pounds and is 20 feet in length. K-Rail Installation What are the construction hours? Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. If construction needs to take place overnight or during a weekend, the community will be notified in a timely manner. When will the K-Rail installation begin? Installation of the K-Rail will begin on September 22, 2008 and will take approximately 3 weeks to complete. Will there be parking restrictions? Instalación de Barreras de ConcretoPor razones de seguridad es importante asegurar el derecho-de-paso sobre Exposition Boule-vard durante la construcción del proyecto Línea Expo. El asegurar el derecho-de-paso con la instalación de Barreras de Concreto permite al contratista preparar el derecho-de-paso para la reubicación de utilidades y la construcción de la línea de tren. Las Barreras de Concreto se utili-zan para mantener las actividades de construcción separadas del público. Cada barrera pesa 8,000 libras y mide 20 pies de largo.
