Relative chronology is the sequence of events in relation to other event.

Protestants who, during the 1600’s ,wanted to reform the Anglican Churches.

Pilgrims

Separatists who journeyed to the colonies in the 1600’s for religious purposes.

Believed every individual had an inner light that could guide him or her to salvation. Everyone was equal in God’s sight. They also refused to fight in wars. They were fined, jailed, even executed for their beliefs.

Toleration

The acceptance of different beliefs.

Persecute To treat someone harshly because of that person’s beliefs or practices.

Settlement

A group of people seeking permanent residence for different reasons.
