RULES OF BEHAVIOR1. Enter the building

quietly. Your seats are waiting for you.

2. All students must dispose of any gum, food and drinks before entering the building.

3. Leave all phones and electronics at home for the day. Book bags will be stored in the classroom.

4. Use the restroom after you are seated but before the performance begins. Do not get up to use the restroom during the performance unless there is an emergency.

5. If an emergency situation arises in the theater, the activity will stop and an announcement will come over the loudspeakers. Please listen to the directions, exiting quickly and quietly.

6. Disruptive, disrespectful behavior at any time on the field trip will result in disciplinary action.

CONCENTRATION!Speakers need concentration to maintain their energy on stage.

YOU: Watch in Focused, Attentive Manner!

QUIET! The rooms are designed to carry

sound well. The sounds should come only from the speaker.

You: No Whispering or Speaking.

Be Respectful!

RESPECT!Speakers show respect for the

audience by presenting their best possible work. They have worked long hours to prepare for this day.

YOU: Responsibility to bring your best behavior to the

theater.

APPRECIATION!Presenters appreciate appropriate

response to their ideas. YOU: Applause is the best way to share appreciation .

Don’t applaud in the middle; wait for an appropriate time.

COMMON SENSE!YOU: Follow rules of behavior appropriate to any formal public

place. Conduct yourself in an orderly, quiet manner. Respect
