Expand-A-Lockisauniquepre-appliedmicroencapsulated expandingthreadlockingandsealingcompound.Expand-A-Lock increasesinvolume20to50%oninstallation,penetratingthe gapsinfastenerthreadsthataretypicallyunfilledbyconventional threadlockers.

Pre-appliedtofastenersanddrytothetouch, Expand-A-Lockcontainsamicroencapsulatedepoxyresinandexpandingcompoundsuspendedinahardener.Expand-A-Lockbecomesactivatedwhenthecoatedfastenerisassembledtoitsmatingpart.Theforcesofengagementcrushthemicroscopiccapsules,mixingtheseparatereactantcomponents,andinitiatingachemicalreaction.Asthereactionistakingplace,thematerialexpands,fillingthefastenerthreadgapsandcreatingafixturewithinminutesofassembly.Fullcureachievedin24hours.

APPLICATIONS:

UseExpand-A-Locktosealcriticalapplicationswhereshock,vibrationandfluidpressurecausethefastenertoloosenorthejoint

toleak.Typicalapplicationsincludeenginepipeplugs,airfitting

connectors,compressorfittings,coolingconnectorsandmore.

FEATURES:

 LowPrevailingOnTorque: Expand-A-Lockassembles easilywithcommonhandtools.

 LongShelfLife: Expand-A-Lockwillremaininactiveonthe partuntilengagementwithacorrespondingcomponent.

 UnaffectedbyForeignSubstances: Oil,gasoline,salt-spray,acids,solvents,water,andairhavenoeffectonExpand-A-Lockwhenintroducedafterafinalcurehasbeenachieved.Thecross-linkedmolecularstructureofExpand-A-Lock makesitoneofthemostresistanttypesoffasteneradhesive available.
