WE’RE GLAD YOU ARE HERE!!
Don’t have a plan for lunch today? The Thomas Volunteer Fire
department is having a fish fry from 11-2 PM at the fire station.
Proceeds benefit the fire department.
Elder Selection Process Update. Elder nominees will meet in the
overflow Wednesday night to share their individual discernment and
then, as a group corporately, discern an elder ballot for the
congregation. The ballot will be in the bulletin two weeks before the
vote. Absentee ballots will be available one week before the vote. All
ballots are due at the time of the vote. Please continue to pray for the
elder nominees.
Wednesday night we will be having chicken and noodles, mashed
potatoes, salad and apple crisp. See you at 6!
The Oklahoma Mennonite Relief Sale is this Friday and Saturday,
Nov 4 & 5, at the Chisolm Trail Expo Center in Enid. Flyers and
pamphlets are available around the church with more information.
Susan Shantz is our church rep if you have questions.
Christmas is fast approaching and a children’s program is planned. If
you have a child, Pre-K through grade 5, practice will be during Sunday
school until November. Practice times will then be moved to
Wednesday evenings. Thanks, Dana Selzer
The Weatherford Food and Resource Center is hosting a Gospel
Gathering Monday, Nov 7th, from 7 to 8:30 pm, at the First Baptist
Church. Jared Deck and Forgiven Quartet will be performing. A love
offering will be accepted with proceeds going to the Center. Evening in the Country is just around the corner!! In a short 4 weeks (whoa!) we will have our annual supper, craft sale and bake sale. We need YOU! Carolene is in charge of the meal, and needs helpers. Please see her if you're willing to help serve, cook, etc. The craft and bake sale will open after the meal starts. If you bake, bring us your goodies! If you can sew, paint, craft or anything else we would love to have your creations! Stay tuned for more details and plan to join us (& invite your friends) Saturday, Nov 19.
New Directories are coming!! While the weather outside is NOT ‘frightful’, we would like to get started taking pictures. Kerry Slagell has agreed to take on this task and will be willing to come to your home or favorite spot to take your family picture. Please contact her to schedule an appointment. Pictures taken outside are the best lighting.

I am planning to go on a 10-month trip with Journey International which
is with Mennonite Mission Network. In order to go on this mission
adventure, I need to raise funds so am looking for jobs such as house
cleaning, office cleaning, babysitting. I am also willing to do
artwork. My number is (580) 819-1665. Thank you for your support.
