Dear parents and carers,
The last week has really shown what a fantastic and supportive parental community we have at Somers Park and Malvern Vale. An excellent parent workshop last Friday (report later in the letter), and then at the weekend, to have such a committed team of helpers sort out our school pond was just amazing. A special thanks to those volunteers who turned up to undertake this enormous task, leaving our pond area almost ready to be used by our pupils.
Malvern Vale Chinese New Year
Malvern Vale Chinese New Year celebration
Earlier in the week, children at Malvern Vale engaged in a brilliant Chinese New Year celebration. They had a banquet, made decorations and did a fantastic dragon dance. The children had a wonderful time and enjoyed working together with friends in both classes.
