Shirakawa-go (Shirakawa Village) is a Japanese mountain settlement in what was once considered a wild and unexplored region. They are famous for their traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old. Gassho-zukuri means "constructed like hands in prayer", as the farmhouses' steep thatched roofs resemble the hands of Buddhist monks pressed together in prayer. The architectural style developed over many generations and is designed to withstand the large amounts of heavy snow that falls in the region during winter. the minimum participants, the excursion will not be operated. If this is the case, those who have made a
reservation will be informed of the matter by 15 days prior to the scheduled date.

*Due to road situations, congestion circumstances, climate conditions, etc., a part of the schedule or the
time of visiting might be changed.

Attendees will receive the final confirmation by e-mail prior to the conference.
Please present this confirmation at the Registration Desk at the conference venue as proof of your registration.
Regarding the changes and cancellations, a written notification should be sent to KNT by e-mail
([email protected]) to avoid any trouble.
The date and time of the change and cancellation will be based on the working hours (Monday through
Friday 9:30a.m.-5:30p.m. (JST) except national holidays. After working hours, cancellation will be made
next day, which may incur charges.
