§ Go to exam4.com > find school > download > install§ Search: University of Chicago Law School
§ Take a practice exam to ensure compatibility§ If your computer is incompatible, contact Exam4 Support

§ Launch Exam4 that you installed on your computer
§ Select Prepare to start new exam§ Click Next

§ Enter your Exam ID twice§ Use a random number for practice exams
§ Select your Course exam twice§ For practice exams use one of the Practice Exams
§ Click Next
§ Check the Check box to re-confirm box§ Click Next

§ Select your typing window font size and color & contrast § Increase Auto-insert answer separators to the amount
instructed by your proctor at the beginning of your exam§ Click Next
§ If a violation number was given to you at the Security Check, enter it in the Enter violation number field and click Help
§ Check the Got it? box§ Click Next

§ Check the confirm Exam Mode box if it is correct§ Click Next
§ Confirm that all the information listed is correct§ If this is a proctored exam, wait till you are told
to click Begin Exam§ Click Begin Exam

§ This is the Exam Answer Entry Screen§ Enter your answers in the areas marked by the red arrows§ Dropdowns at the top have additional features

Word Counts§ Document Statistics can be found in two locations
§ In the Tools dropdown and on the Right-hand column§ They are marked by the Red Arrows
§ The column to look at is the second column from the left

§ If you have Multiple Choice or True/False Questions on your exam select the Multiple Choice button from the top menus
§ Select the question you would like to answer and mark it with an A, B, C, D, E, or F§ For True/False: A = True B = False
§ When you have finished the Multiple Choice or True/False questions, click Hide

§ Once you have completed answering the exam questions, select End Exam Now from the End Exam menu§ You will be prompted to confirm that you would like to
end your exam now§ To confirm you are sure you want to end your exam now,
check the Confirm box and select OK

§ To submit your exam, select Submit Electronically
§ Once your exam has been submitted successfully you will see the screen with the green at the top
§ Once you have read this screen check the I understand box and click OK

§ When you have finished submitting your exam you will be brought back to your exam answer entry screen
§ Write down your Confirmation # for future reference
§ When you exit Exam4 it will ask if you are sure§ When you are sure, check the I’m sure box and click
