Instruction: This partakes of a take home examination but still
students are expected to do this work individually. This is a timed
examination so you five (5) days to submit your answers by e-mail
to this address [email protected] counted from today
September 5, 2015. You are to submit the hard copy of your answers
on Saturday September 12, 2015 at 10:00 oclock in the morning at
the CJC Campus as the professor will meet the students.
1. Give five (5) State Policies found in the 1987 Constitution
that pertains to Labor and briefly explain each.
2. Give the provision that pertains to Labor found in Article
XIII of the 1987 Constitution. Why is Labor part of Social Justice
and Human Rights?
3. Give the provision in the Civil Code that defines Contract of
Labor. Differentiate contract of labor from contract of sale.
4. Define illegal recruitment under Section 5, RA 10022. How is
it different from Section 6 of RA 8042?
5. Distinguish License from Authority to conduct recruitment and
placement of workers.
6. What are the elements of simple illegal recruitment and
illegal recruitment in a large scale? Distinguish simple from large
scale illegal recruitment.
7. Discuss the concept of hours of work. Who are those covered
and not covered by it?
8. What is a compressed work week?
9. Discuss fully maternity and paternity leave.
10. What are the rules that govern employment of minors?
