5.1 Performance and Capacity Benchmarks
To help you determine the hardware and software configuration for the best performance ofyour system, some performance and capacity benchmarks have been measured for thefollowing configuration.
Hardware
Server
CPU: 4-core, Intel® Xeon™ 3.2GHz(x64)
Memory: 8GB
OS: Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition, SP2
Client CPU: Intel ® Pentium ® 4 CPU 2.60GHz(x86)

Users
In SAP sizing terminology, an active user is a user that goes through a given number ofbusiness processes in a given time period. A named user is a user with an account. Thenumber of the active users is 25% of the named users. Concurrent users work in the systemsimultaneously.
The numbers of users is measured when the portal host reaches 60% CPU consumption.
Named users 200000 users
Active users 50000 users
Concurrent users 450 users with average one minute think time
Test Scenario
Each user navigates to the Workspace Directory and enters his or her personal workspace, which has 5 pages containing 5 modules each. In the workspace, the user navigates 15 timesbetween 5 pages.
