1 13th Golden Dragon Parade 2012 Los Angeles' Largest Parade (Other than the Rose Parade)

On Saturday, January 28th. ",arm tempcratures greeted !he Chinese Lunar New Year of the Dragon. Over 110.000 individuals lining the parade route and many more viewing the tele<oast, this colorful celebration along Hill Slrtt( and Broadway in Chinatown has bc<;ome the premiere euhural eve1ll in the Southern California Asian American Community. CllSSC held its usual position at the head of the parade with a SCa of mi. white and blue with Over 260 participants including Society members. and support from Families with Children from China.

11>c CHSSC unit was gr<:atly assist<:<l by O,'cr 80 student, from Bell High School'. ln1eract Club, sponsored by Rotary Interna­t;onal D;strict5280 and led by Dr. Joel Tepper. An additional 80 student. from various South Bay high schools within DiSlriel 5280. organized by Angi Ma Wong. pi", a dozen s""lent< from lhe Youlh Act Club from Roose,-elt School (Lynwood. CAl. led by "'achtl" Fernando Millan , helped carry lhe massive display of nags.
