Who would be the audience for your Media product?

Target Age Range:

The target age of the audience of my product is 13-30. This is because Country Music appeals to all ages and all genders however as my magazine is similar to Country Weekly magazine, I made the target audience similar too.

Also as Country Music magazines in England are a niche market you can’t be sure of who your target market will be, especially when the magazine you are similar to is American and the Country Music magazines that exist in the UK are very much aimed at older people (50-65 approx.) it is hard to pin point.

The magazine accommodates this target audience by being very bold, bright and modern looking. Not only with the look but with the language used.

Who would be the audience for your Media product?

The Jicnar scale:

On the Jicnar scale stereotypically a Country Music magazine would be aimed at mainly Group C2, however my product would be aimed at those in Group C2 as well as Group C1 and Group B.

Traditionally in America, people are born into Country Music, often through being born in the South and so Country Music magazines would appeal to all Groups of people, where as in England it tends to be more of an acquired taste, as it is not as popular and so the product is aimed at those who like Country Music that primarily are in said Groups and the magazine, priced at £2.20, is priced accordingly.
