Setting advanced features on your Wi-Fi Extender

* Note, the Wi-Fi Extender only works on the 5Ghz Wi-Fi band. If you’ve an older computer, tablet or smartphone which operates at 2.4Ghz only, you won’t be able to use the Vodafone Wi-Fi in AP mode.

To turn on, plug the power cable into your Wi-Fi Extender. Check that the power (pwr) light is on. Make sure the rear switch on the Wi-Fi Extender is set to AP mode.

Connect 1x LAN cable to your Wi-Fi Extender. Connect the other end to a spare ethernet/LAN port on your modem.

On your computer, tablet or smartphone*, search and connect to the Wi-Fi name which is on a sticker on the Base unit in AP mode. Once connected, you’re good to go.

*Wi-Fi Extender units must be in range of each other to provide service. **The Vodafone Wi-Fi Extender only supports the 5Ghz Wi-Fi band. Devices which operate at 2.4Ghz only will not be able to use a Wi-Fi Extender unless in Bridge Mode.

To turn on, plug the power cables into both Wi-Fi Extenders. Check that the power (pwr) lights are on. Make sure the rear switch on one Wi-Fi Extender is set to AP mode.

Connect 1x LAN cable to the Wi-Fi Extender that is acting as your Base Unit (the one set to AP mode). Connect the other end to a spare ethernet/LAN port on your modem.

Place the second Wi-Fi Extender in the area you want stronger Wi-Fi coverage*. Set the rear switch on this Wi-Fi Extender to Station.

The password to connect to Wi-Fi is the Wi-Fi key on the Base unit (the unit in AP mode).

Changing the Wi-Fi password (via http://192.168.1.240) will require all the extenders to be re-paired via WPS.
