Message from the Executive Director & Board ChairThank you for generously supporting Power To Be. With your help, we empowered 1,143 participants to explore their limitless abilities in 2015 and 91 per cent reported a positive life change related to our programs.
With the North Vancouver program office well established, and a new program base at Prospect Lake in Victoria, we are poised to initiate greater social change.
Underpinning our commitment to being a community difference maker is our attention to financial accountability. We pride ourselves in putting your philanthropic dollars to good work. In 2015, we raised more than $2.1 million while receiving $700,000 of in-kind equipment, products and services. This support gave us the ability to continue to subsidize the cost of our programs.
To deliver the best experiences for our participants in 2016, we’ll continue to invest in our people, infrastructure, systems and strategy. This will give us the capacity to address and sustain growth to accommodate demand while enhancing experiences for participants. We need your help to do so and it is our hope that you’ll continue to invest in Power To Be.
Thank you for making inclusive adventures rooted in nature possible. You belong at Power To Be, and everyone belongs in nature.
Tim Cormode, Executive Director Michael Shannon, Board Chair
