Day 1 – Let’s revise and practise expanding noun phrases by using prepositions and adjectives. Look at the Prepositions PowerPoint (Resource 1) Prepositions often describe locations, but can describe other things such as relations of time (when something happened). Then complete the sheet on page 6 in your book or on paper. Day 2 – When something is the 'most' we say this a superlative. For example, which is the best...? The fast car, the faster car or the fastest car? Look at the interactive superlatives PowerPoint (Resource 2) then write some sentences that include superlatives. You could describe the things in the room… Day 3 – What are verbs? What are imperative verbs? Look at the Little Miss Bossy PowerPoint (Resource 3). Create a list of imperative verbs. Day 4 – Have a look at the Creating Subordinating Clauses PowerPoint. Remember that a sentence can be made up of a main clause, a subordinating conjunction and a subordinating clause. Try creating some sentences about yourself using these. Day 5 – watch this video and just have a think about the story. Could you think of an alternate ending? https://www.literacyshed.com/catchit.html Continue with the maths learning from White Rose. You are all doing so well, we are so proud of you! The worksheets and video links are on the Year 3 home learning page. Did you know that it’s not always the same time across the world?

Time is different depending on where you are in the world. If it is daytime in the UK, it will be night-time in Australia.

Have a look at this grid and work out what time it will be in each country when it is 12pm (noon) in the UK.(Too small? Look at Page 8)
