EVERY DAY: Key Skills English Mathematics
Practise your Common Exception Words (Focus on 10 per week).
Use pyramid words, speed spell, write the word in a sentence, draw a shape, etc.
• Read every day – Log this on paper or in your exercise book. You can write how much you have read and what you thought!
• Pick three different times-tables to focus on per week. How do you remember them? Writing them out, singing/chanting?
Resources to accompany learning are at the bottom of this document.
Day 1 – Can you write a poem that describes Ernest Shackleton and his adventures? Day 2 – Personification. Complete the activity and then see if you can add some personification to your poem! Edit and improve Day 3 – Perform your poem! Visit this link for top tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvV23xoZRkI Day 4 – Draw imagery to accompany your poem. Consider the language you used in your poem and what picture that creates. Day 5 – Complete Spelling Punctuation and Grammar mat. Use the stars at the bottom to select a sheet with an appropriate challenge!
