Cultivate health and beauty by using dried mineral-rich herbs on a regular basis.
My favorite daily ritual that I’ve had now for several years, is making tea—super tonic herbal
teas light me up like a Christmas tree! I also really enjoy herbs and the tea made from them:
• In the bath: (put a handful of herbs in a small muslin bag draped under spout); soak

• As part of a face or body clay masque: use the cooled herbal tea in homemade skin

overnight) and using it in the shower; pour over your hair just before getting out of the shower.

ways throughout my week. Sometimes, it tastes so good with a pinch of stevia, I just drink the

My favorite herbal remedy is a delicious, thirst-quenching blend that I call Stunning Skin
Medicinal Tea. This inexpensive blend includes nettles, alfalfa, horsetail, noni, oat straw, and red
clover blossoms. These herbs offer a broad spectrum of vitamins and minerals—all in a highly
bioavailable form our body recognizes and therefore absorbs. You’ll replenish your reserves of
vitamin A, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (panothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B12
(cyanocobalamin), and vitamin C, D, E, and K. Plus, minerals such as calcium, chromium, iron,

Directions for Making Beauty-Enhancing Teas
Make a decoction of herbs when using roots, barks, seeds, and herbal root powders. Make an
infusion when using the herbal leaf and its’ flowers.
To prepare a decoction: Bring a few cups of spring water to an almost rolling boil with your
chosen herbs in your pot, turn the heat down and let it simmer for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Depending on what roots and herbs you are using, you may need or want to simmer them for
longer to extract even more phytonutrients. You can also just turn the heat off with the lid on
and allow the herbs to steep this way as well.
To prepare an infusion: Add hot water to 1-3 tablespoons of dried herbs and steep in a standard
size mason jar (16 ounces) for 4-12 hours for maximum potency. I typically prepare this as I’m
getting ready for bed and strain it in the morning for use that day and beyond.
Note: The teas do not taste like medicine, but they are medicinal.
Hint: Add a pinch of Celtic salt and small squeeze of lemon to increase the boiling point and
keep the water more structured while it’s being heated.
Ideally, you are using a Saladmaster pot in place of a lower grade leaching stainless steel so
that you don’t get heavy metals in your healing teas. But, work with what you have for now
and upgrade when you can. You’ll feel so good when you make the investment in yourself
and stop using toxic old school cookware. Note: I am not a Saladmaster dealer or consultant,
but they can put you in touch with one via the contact page on their website and you can
get it through someone local to you and even attend a free demonstration class. This is how
I do it, too.

It’s critical that the products you apply to your skin should be helping you, nourishing you and
healing your skin, and certainly not hurting you.
You may ask, “Do all my personal products have to be so pure and even edible?” Well, consider
this—if the thought of spooning them into your mouth sounds disgusting to you, why are you
using them? Your skin is your largest organ and it drinks up most everything that you put on
it! If one of your products is pretty clean (aka: label claims ‘natural’—which means NOTHING
by the way), but may have a couple of genetically-modified ingredients, fats that go rancid
easily and fewer organic ingredients than you’d think for such a ‘natural’ product, it’s best to
toss them into the garbage and start anew. It’s liberating.
Be mindful to not overlook the negative consequences of using well-marketed unimpressive
skin and body care products that are marketed as natural. These products are an insult to
raw, vegan, organic, edible, and truly pure skin care lines that are made with love and good
intentions. I want to share this because I care about you and your health and am willing to
be direct: it’s all marketing—they’re not ‘natural’ products—in fact there’s nothing natural
about them.
What ‘natural’ products am I talking about? The ones you buy at health food stores—your
natural food store, where you would expect you could get some good quality stuff. You CAN
get few things that are okay, sure (i.e. lip balms)… but are the choices there the best choices
available to you? In a pinch, fine—but certainly not for regular use. How long have all those
products been sitting on the shelf?
Most women would be better off applying straight extra virgin organic coconut oil over their
body, rose hip seed oil under their eyes and on their face for daytime replenishment, and raw
cacao butter as a night cream as needed. This is a super simple regimen that you can build
from confidently.
Your face and body will not be oily when using these pure oils. You can exfoliate first if you
want to open up your pores; this will enhance detoxification and absorption of the oils even
better, and if your skin does feel oily after applying the coconut, rose hip or cacao oils and
butter, then you may have applied too much in that area. It’s an easy and simple fix: rub the
excess oil somewhere else on your body or on someone else. Give it a minute and you’ll be
smooth as a baby’s butt and wonder why everyone doesn’t do this.

I challenge you to try this if you aren’t already implementing these easy, inexpensive ways to
soothe, nourish, and heal your skin. Please take before and after pictures for yourself. You’ll
want to see them!
You deserve the best. Your skin can look so much better than it already does. Your perception
of your own beauty will soar when you make the choice to honor your body temple and
treat it with respect.
Consider that even if you only use average/store-bought skin care products occasionally,
you are still periodically poisoning yourself through your largest organ. This may sound so
extreme, but what is truly extreme is the amount of poisons that the average person in
the US and the World puts on their skin on a daily basis. These poisonous chemicals are
causing serious damage to our bodies and to the environment on a level that is extremely
disheartening. It’s time to re-think what is radical and extreme.
This whole concept may require a paradigm shift. The products sold with parabens
(methylparaben, propylparaben, and butylparaben) are obviously toxic (they cause
hormonal cancers in women and men). Walk to your bathroom NOW and check and double
check every single product within those 4 walls. Throw them out immediately if they contain
any ingredients with the word paraben in them (usually the last several ingredients in the list).
If there are no parabens, great! You’re starting from a higher platform. Do you know what
the other ingredients in your products do for your skin? Is each ingredient for both food and
cosmetic use? If you have to stop and think if it’s a good quality product, then very likely it’s
less than the best ever. The quality and potency should RADIATE and be absolutely apparent,
not just because of what the label says (remember, there are no regulations in the cosmetics/
personal products industry), but because it’s so safe and good for you that you can eat it. That
doesn’t mean you will—it means you CAN.
Review your choices, refuse to allow cost to get in the way since truly natural skin oils are very
cost-effective, and stop compromising when it comes to you. If you follow this advice and use
these individual oils, keep the rose hip seed oil in the fridge (use within 12 months of date of
purchase) and coconut and cacao at room temperature. They will last nearly as long as any
products intentionally formulated to last indefinitely.

fiveTHE SECRET BASIC HUMAN NEEDS: WATER, GROUNDING, SUNSHINE, EXERCISE, AND HOME ENVIRONMENT
There is so much to say about each of the following, yet I will get straight to the point and offer
you just the honest truth of what you need to know.
Spring Water: Your body is approximately 70% water. It takes about one week of drinking water
to replace nearly all your water content, to renew your blood plasma. Would you rather have
that 70% be filtered tap water from a water source that is likely destroying delicate ecology’s
with damns where chemicals have been put into the water, are polluted, and unstructured?
Or, do you want to be made up of 70% wild noble water, the only time-proven natural water
for humans?
I highly advise you to do whatever it takes to acquire and use fresh cold spring water bottled
yourself in glass jugs as the water you drink. If you are currently using filtered tap water, please
consider that, yes—it is better than straight tap water and many bottled waters that have been
sitting in plastic for months, exposed to light, electromagnetic fields, and heat. Yet remember,
that a filter is a relatively small machine (even the expensive ones) that cannot actually make

I used to be under the false impression that drinking water that came from below the ground

It’s ideal if you have activities that you love to do for all seasons, so no matter the weather
outside, you have an option that really appeals to you. In the summer, you may find yourself
biking, or hiking with your dog, friends, or solo, on nearby trails to your home and periodically
doing indoor workouts like taking yoga or Pilates classes. In the winter, you may desire to get in
the heat much more often and take classes to keep your core warm; you’ll want to balance
your routine with indoor or outdoor running, walking, hiking, skiing, etc., so that you still enjoy
the outdoors.
All forms of yoga are a moving meditation, yet also have the potential to be an amazing
physical workout. Doing yoga in a heated room (bikram, power, and ashtanga yoga) offers
several benefits: it allows detoxification through the skin via sweating, increases blood flow,
increases oxygen throughout the body, speeds up the breakdown of glucose and fatty
acids, makes muscles more elastic (being warmed up means you’re less susceptible to injury),
improves flexibility dramatically, improves coordination, reduces heart regularities associated
with exercise, and burns fat more easily (yea!).
Home Environment: It is critically important that you only use non-toxic cleaning supplies
in your home, whether or not you have pets or little children running around. There are
extremely powerful and dangerous chemicals in store bought home cleaning supplies
despite the strong marketing that claims superior results. You can easily make your own
products with lemons, vinegar, and baking soda; search online for a ‘how-to’ of simple
alternative homemade recipes. Purchase natural and if available, organic product choices
from your natural food store.
Natural cleaning products are safe, effective, and the responsible choice. Seventh Generation

ones that have less ingredients and ones that you know, understand, and feel comfortable
using. There are so many ‘green’ and ‘eco’ choices available to you—take advantage of
them and refuse to buy the same conventional supplies that your parents used 20+ years ago.

your own or to spend a little bit more to ensure they are entirely non-toxic, leaving no wanted
residues in your household.

Believe in Yourself.
It seems like just 3 little words, but when you really embrace it, your world changes. Once
you believe in yourself, your self-value skyrockets. When self-love and respect are the new
standards, health becomes the #1 priority. You realize that your body is a sacred temple and
should be treated as such. You are willing to do whatever it takes to keep your body temple
at its peak optimal level and nothing less will suffice. No accepting compromise when it
comes to YOU.
There is a profound connection between our self-value, our inner thoughts and our physical
health. If we experience health ailments, sickness, and dis/ease, there is always an underlying
emotional issue that is best addressed to fully heal on the deepest level.
Your Body is a Temple.
The idea of this is that when you treat your body with honor and respect, and embrace pure
living, you take actions with the intention of healing. Yet another liberating action.
Ideally, you want to make choices wisely and to be picky with what goes into your body.
Compromise is not an option if you want an abundantly thriving future. Don’t tolerate
compromise when it comes to your health because our capacity to enjoy life is greatly
lessened without it.
Your body is sacred and holds immense potential if you treat it in this way. You will reap great
rewards with this mindset and emotional strategy that will continue for years to come because
of the choices you made today. It’s time to commit to achieving a new level of health, to let
go of the excuses and take full responsibility of your current state of health and appearance.
If it is not where you want it to be, then you are very fortunate that you hold 100% of the power
to change what is needed to move forward and do something about it. If you really want
something, realize that it can and will happen. We should expect the best when the changes
we make are acted upon with effort, commitment, and perseverance. I have experienced
this first-hand.
You cannot forget about giving credit yourself where it’s due: you are reading this in its’ entirety,

has the potential to skyrocket your health. Pat yourself on your back just for showing up. A
huge amount of success in any aspect of life begins with just showing up.

When you are looking to implement a new lifestyle or eating habits, you inevitably need to
break out of your comfort zone to successfully achieve your goal—otherwise, you remain
where you are, which may even be stagnant or at a plateau. I have found that no matter
what the choice is, we really need to step beyond our comfort zone in order to grow and
evolve. When you feel uncomfortable and are in the learning curve, you are moving upward,
you’re reaching toward your big vision whatever that may be, and you’re becoming more of
who you want to be!
Women tend to have negative inner self-talk and self-sabotaging thoughts when embracing
a new cutting edge strategy for healthful living or starting a supplement or Superfood routine.
I have learned that if you push forward and act on it anyway, whether or not you have full
confidence, the rewards will trickle in and eventually, begin to pour in.
People are reluctant to make changes because many times they don’t know how to do what
they want to do and are lacking confidence in moving forward—yet it’s this very decision
that could bring them to the next level to where they want to be! So, step beyond where
you’ve been before and continue with commitment, with learning, and act without hesitation
and in spite of fear… and your experiences and successes will be filled with insight and will
compound immensely.
There are a few questions we need to ask ourselves to really step it up a notch:
1. Where are you holding yourself back? You want to let go of the boundaries and
make a decision to commit to taking action on something that you have wanted to
do to live healthier, yet may have postponed for a more convenient time or better
circumstances. Create the circumstances now and remember that success likes
speed—decide quickly that you already are who you want to be (maybe just under a
few layers) and that you deserve all the wellness in the world.
2. Why are you choosing to make more health conscious choices? Avoid the general
things like having more energy and looking better—but WHY do you want to jump out
of bed in the morning, have steady energy throughout the day and be ready to rest
easily at night? Why do you want to look attractive and have that sexy essence of
confidence?

Consider what the little things are that will make a big difference in your life and WHY you want
them. I suggest writing them down to get really clear and to be able to reflect back on them,
sort of like a checklist journal. When you do this, it will feel so good to visually see your progress
and know just how far you’ve come. Stay committed and you will go far.
With health, most of us want to feel our absolute best all the time, yet it can at times feel so far
away and not always easily achievable. I am here to show you just how much is possible and
how close you are to attaining it for yourself. Many times, it’s just one decision away and you
can choose that right now for yourself. Postponing health truly is a death sentence.

best things come to those who have an open mind and are willing to learn new information.
If all this health stuff seems confusing or overwhelming, know that you are presented with the

a good time to shift whatever needs to be shifted and to let go of any excuses that have
held you back in the past. I put this book together for you to offer my support and advice for

sevenCREATE A WINNING STRATEGY
Now that you have the 6 main components that WILL launch you to your next level of health
and beauty, we need to create a winning strategy that pulls it all together. There are several
aspects that you want to use to build your foundation that will really allow you to succeed with
ease. I have found these individual strategies actually prove to be quite relevant, profound,
and revolutionary. In fact, they offer the ability to take what I’ve shared with you already and
turn it into a massive transformation that surpasses your expectations and changes everything
for the better.
PracticeYou need to get in the kitchen and experiment with the information you’ve learned here.
Every creation you make is practice and will refine your knowledge and skills. The more you
practice, the more experience you gain, and the most experience you have, the better your
skills, knowledge, and ability to OWN your lifestyle and even teach it to others. This makes a
big difference the next time around. Commit to use recipes just as a guideline and taking
advantage of your innate wisdom, your intuition, as to how to proceed (expanding from the
original recipe). Let go of any intimidation, dive in, and realize you have it within you to make
rewarding dishes.
ConsistencyTo really make a lasting impact, you must have consistency with your health-conscious
practices. This is extremely simple, and so often overlooked, yet you do not want to
underestimate this—it is gold! Sporadic action will not get results; you must find ways to
continue to inspire yourself. Figure out what 1 health ritual excites you the most, that offers
benefits on multiple levels, and do it several times per week—if not daily. Consistency takes
a strong commitment, yet once the habits and behaviors are in place, they become near
impossible to break—a good thing for you!
Continuing EducationMaking the commitment to life-long learning is one of the most important and beneficial
decisions you’ll ever make, especially if your learning revolves around health and self-
development. In our current and future world, information tends to get old quickly. It’s up to
us to remain at and study the most cutting edge information we can get our hands on. It’s
exciting and liberating to find out what’s at the forefront of what you’re passionately improving
in your life! Recognize though, that “there is never a crowd on the leading edge” (wisdom by
Abraham-Hicks). You and your role model (and your conscious community) may be the ones
raising the bar and setting the standards. Stick together, hold strong, and do not allow old
dated research or information to become the rules you play by. Continue to educate yourself
and study with the most progressive thinkers who are willing to step outside of the box and
bring you the best of the best.

Unconditional SupportIf you are going to make this nutrition and lifestyle work for you, you need to have the support of
those around you. There will always be questions and inquiries of your new way of being, and it’s
something you just need to come to expect and appreciate. Find friends who will relish and be
grateful for your progressive ways—they will benefit and so will you. It also goes without saying
that to honor, respect, and love yourself for all that you’re doing, will have the most dramatic
effect of all. It’s awesome to be surrounded by people who ‘get’ what you are all about and
what you are doing, yet it’s even more important to have your own stamp of approval.
ADD Things InThe concept of adding things in is immensely powerful. Instead of the traditional approach
of removing and stripping away foods from your diet, embrace the idea of including foods,

and it’s your job to listen, observe, and decide for yourself whose opinion and experience you
want to trust. Model only those who are receiving the results you want for yourself. This may
sound like common sense, but really cherry pick the people who become your mentors.
Have FUNIf you do all of the above without having some serious fun, your life will not be nearly as exciting
as it could be. The potential that getting healthier unleashes is amazingly profound. Surround
yourself with positive friends who enjoy being healthy and have fun while doing so, as it will
make an enormous impact on you. Having fun and feeling joy should already be part of your
foundation and intention in living a rich and fulfilling life, so placing a heavy emphasis on it
regarding your health is just an extension of this value.
