Connect the camera and the computer directly with an USB cable� Operation using USB hubs is not guaranteed�

Operating Limitations
"MediaBrowser" does not support Unicode�
Even if video recordings are in a supported format, you may not be able to use them depending on the recording method�
You cannot use "MediaBrowser" when connecting two or more cameras to the computer�
System folders, Windows-only folders, the root directory C:\ and optical drives cannot be selected as the saving destination for the Library (P�17) and file export�
You cannot add files to the Library (P�17) by drag and drop in "Explorer" from removable disks�
Exporting files after editing or converting with "MediaBrowser", the picture quality of the movie will be lower than the original�
Immunity regarding YouTube upload functionWhen using YouTube upload function, the number of videos uploaded per hour may be restricted by YouTube specifications. Also, we do not guarantee full operations for future modifications of the YouTube specifications, and the operation on every environment.

Starting
Connecting the Camera
Turn on the camera�
Connect the camera and computer with a USB cable�Connect the camera and the computer with a USB cable. Operation using USB hub is not guaranteed.
The Browser screen (P�18) will be displayed�
For operations of camera, please refer to the camera instruction manual�
Starting MediaBrowser
You can start "MediaBrowser" in any of the following ways:
Connect the camera�"MediaBrowser" starts automatically when the camera is connected.
Start from the shortcut icon�Double-click the shortcut icon on the Desktop.
Start from the [Start] menu�Select the [Start] menu - [All Programs] - [PIXELA] - [MediaBrowser LE] - [MediaBrowser LE].

Checking the latest informationWhen starting "MediaBrowser", the messages asking if you check the latest version and product information will be displayed� Clicking [Yes] starts the Internet browser and jumps to the information website�
Messages are displayed only when your computer is connected to the Internet.

Click [Safely remove Mass Storage Device -Drive(X:)]�The letter that appears as "Drive (X:)" varies depending on the computer.If multiple choices are displayed, select the drive corresponding to the camera.
A message informing you it is safe to remove hardware will be displayed�
Disconnect camera�

Outline of the Library
What's the Library?
The location to store the videos used with "MediaBrowser" is called the "Library"� Videos imported from the camera or any other sources are stored in the Libray�
Purpose of the Library
The Library enables you to manage multiple video files easier� Also, by connecting the camera, you can browse the videos in it�
You can perform the following operations from the Library�
Play back videos
Organize videos in the order of name or date, etc
Cut off unnecessary scenes
Export to iTunes
Link with YouTube
Location on the computer
Video files stored in the Library are located in the following destination by default:
[MediaBrowser LE] folder in the [My Video]/[Video] folder
[My Document]/[Document] folder is set if [My Video]/[Video] folder does not exist.You can change the destination in the Preferences settings. (P.45)

How to use
In the Browser screen, you can overview the video files stored in the Library�
Browser screen
The Browser screen mainly consists of two parts: the Source pane to select the location to browse, and the Browser pane to select the video files�
Source paneLocations that contains stored or sorted video files�
Browser paneThe video files in the location you selected in the Source pane isdisplayed�
Refer to P�18 to 23 for details of the panes�

Source pane
The list of locations that contains stored or sorted video files� When you select a location in the Source pane, the video files in the location are displayed in the Browser pane�(P�19)�

DeviceThe devices connected to the computer�
CameraDisplays a list of video files in the camera.
SD Memory CardDisplays a list of video files in the SD Memory Card inserted in the camera.
LibraryThe Library is a place where all the video files used in "MediaBrowser" are stored�

CalendarDisplays videos of specified year and month.

The video files in the location that you selected in the Source pane (P�18) is displayed�
Switch DisplaySwitch view of video files�
Displays a list of thumbnails and information of videos. (P.23)
Displays videos for each month in calendar view. (P.21, 22)
Display FilterFilters videos to display�
Shows all files.
Shows movies only.
Shows still images only.

Among the video files stored in the camera, the "Imported mark" is displayed for video files which have already been imported to the Library.
[Cannot find this file]
The file was added to the Library in the past, but it cannot be found as the file location has been changed or the file has been deleted.
*In the List view, this icon will be displayed in the left column of the thumbnail.
[Cannot move this file]
The file cannot be moved to the location when this symbol is displayed while drag & drop.
*The cursor will become this icon.

Changing the View of the Browser Screen
The Browser screen has two types of view:
Calendar view (monthly/daily) ----- P�21, 22Click the button� The thumbnails of video files are displayed on the calendar according to the date/time of the files� This view helps you to check the newness of the file�
List view ----- P�23Click the button� The thumbnails and detail infomation of video files are displayed� After clicking [Show All] in the Source pane, you can sort files by a certain condition�
You cannot sort files when selecting the items in the Calendar of the Source pane.

In the monthly calender view, clicking a date in which a thumbnail is displayed shows the Calendar view (daily)�

Delete Video Files
There are two ways to delete the video files stored in the Library: you can delete from the computer, or remove the display of the file from the Library�
Select a file to delete�
Select [Delete] in the [Edit] menu�
A confirmation dialog will be displayed�

Execute deletion�If you wish to delete the file(s) from the computer, select [Delete completely]�
If you wish to remove the display of the file from the Library only, select [Keep files]�

Save a Video as a New File
You can copy and save video files in a location you prefer for using in applications other than "MediaBrowser" �
Select a video file and select [Save���] in the [File] menu�
Set the destination and the filename, then click the [Save] button� Destination to save filesTo change the destination, click the [Browse���] button and select the destination�
Filename
[Use the original filename]
Save using the same filename as the original video file.
[Enter filename]
Enter a filename of your choice. The extension of thefile is added automatically. If the same filenames exist in the destination, they are saved as the numbered filenames such as "Filename_1", "Filename_2".
The copy of the video file is saved in the specified destination�

You can cut out a necessary scene from a video file and save as a new file�
Double-click a video file you wish to edit�Select a video file included in the [Library] of the Source pane.
The playback screen will be displayed�

When uploading a long-time file
? (restriction icon) will be displayed on the thumbnails of the video files longer than 10 minutes or higher than 1GB� Note that the files with this icon may not be uploaded properly�

Preferences screen
The screen is displayed when you select [Preferences���] from the [Settings] menu�
WorkspaceSet a location for MediaBrowser to operate� Volumes which you may not write to will not be displayed�

Library destination settingsSet two locations to save Library contents�
[Primary destination]Files are saved until all the free space is used in this location�
[MediaBrowser LE] folder in the [My Video]/[Video] folder is set as default.
[My Document]/[Document] folder is set if [My Video]/[Video] folder does not exist.)Do not delete the original destination folder after you change the Library destination. The new Library destination will only contain files that you are going to add to the Library after the change.

Preparation
"MediaBrowser" does not work properly.
Exit "MediaBrowser" and restart the computer�
My camera is not recognized by the computer.
Check the following:
Have you installed "MediaBrowser"?Have you turned on the camera?Is the USB cable connected to the computer properly? If the USB cable is connected properly and is not recognized, connect to another USB port of the computer�Disconnect the USB cable, then restart the computer and reconnect the camera with the computer in the correct procedure�Disconnect any USB devices other than the camera, keyboard, and mouse�If the camera is connected via a USB hub, connect the camera directly to the computer�If any resident software is installed, exit and connect the camera�
"MediaBrowser" does not fit in the computer screen.
This occurs when screen resolution is below 800 x 600� Select resolution above 1024x768 in Screen properties�
Can I edit videos?
Yes, you can trim videos, select [Movie Edit] in the playback screen�
I exited from the resident application by mistake.
You can start up from [Start] menu-[All Programs]-[Starup]-[DeviceMonitor LE]�
If unsure, restart the computer, and it will be started automatically.

Import videos
I can't import files on a network to the Library.
You cannot add files on a network to the Library�For video files stored on a network, save files on the computer first, then add files to the Library by selecting [Add Files to Library]/[Add Folder to Library] from the [File] menu.
I can't transfer videos from the camera to the computer.
Try another USB port of the computer� For desktop computers, try the USB port on the back�
It takes a long time to import video from the camera to the computer.
It takes a long time when importing many files in one batch or importing a large video file�
When importing, close all software other than "MediaBrowser".
Where in the computer is the video saved?
Location you specify in [Primary destination] in the Preferneces screen (P�45)� [MediaBrowser LE] folder in the [My Video]/[Video] folder is set as default�

Manage videos
(Cannot find this file) appears.
"MediaBrowser" cannot find files if, for example, the files are deleted in "Explorer" after being added to the Library� Do not delete or move the video files you use in "MediaBrowser"� In case you deleted the file, delete from the Library as well, and add the file again to the Library�
I want to erase all (Imported mark).
Select [Preferences���] (P�45) from the [Settings] menu and reset�
Utilize Videos
I cannot export to iTunes.
iTunes is required for exporting� You can download iTunes from the Web site of Apple Inc�

I cannot upload to YouTube.
Note that for uploading to YouTube, YouTube account is required� Create an account�
Upload from the YouTube website�The MediaBrowser's communication to the internet may be blocked if a security software is installed. Enable MediaBrowser's access to the internet.For the settings of the security software to allow an application to access the internet, please contact the security software support center.Refer to P.6 for the immunity regarding YouTube upload function.

How long does it take to upload videos to YouTube?
For uploading 1-minute video, it takes about 5 to 20 minutes� (when uplink speed is 1Mbps)
It may differ depending on the picture quality and communication environment.
The uploaded file's title is changed on YouTube.
If you use symbols such as "&", "<", ">", in a title, the symbols are changed to "_" when uploading�
I cannot upload video files recorded in "1080p" (a recording mode).
In the Preferneces screen (P�45), un-check "Upload without converting files" in "Upload to YouTube"�
Others
I can't exit "MediaBrowser".
Close all dialog boxes and setting screens before exiting�
I disconnected the USB cable and MediaBrowser does not operate properly.
Exit from MediaBrowser, and connect the camera again� Then, start up MediaBrowser�
While using MediaBrowser, do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off the camera.
There are files that I can not use for some functions.
Extremely short video files (less than 1 second) may not be used�
