EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS PATHWAY TO MEDICAL PROFESSIONS PROGRAM OVERVIEW Everett Public Schools Pathway to Medical Prossions integrates content and workplace practices providing undation r student success in their pursuit to high demand healthcare careers such as medical assistants, primary care nurses and physicians, and behavioral health counselors. er completing core high school coursework, students enter the pathway and gain the academic, technical and workplace knowledge and skills allowing r seamless continuation to post- secondary certificate, sociate, and/ or Bachelor degree programs. Students then can transition to the workplace or continue on to pursue graduate programs. Partnering with industry experts, the core program staff include Career and Technology Education (CTE) certified science teachers. On an annual basis, the program will support up to 400 students om Everett Public Schools as well as neighboring school districts including Lake Stevens, Lakewood, Marysville and Monroe School Districts. The program will serve as a pilot to be replicated in regions with healthcare concentration. Floyd College of Medicine, The Everett Clinic, Providence Everett, Snohomish Health District, Snohomish County Medical Society, and Verdant Health Commission. Built in 1912, the school district is seeking 12 million dollars to modernization the building in becoming a cility that supports collaborative, student-centered and project-based learning. The three-story cility will include wet laboratory learning spaces (anatomy, physiology, micro-biology & cell biology), patient care simulation (skills room to simulate nursing assistant and phlebotomy training), informatics lab (healthcare administration and medical records), health career center (mentoring with industry partners), preparation and collaboration rooms (space r teachers to collaborate as well as store and prepare real world lab specimens and materials), andflexible classrooms. Everett Public Schools Pathway to Medical Professions integrates content
