According to Bob Brigham, Vice President of NocturneProductions, it all started when Chris Lamb, Madonna’sProduction Manager, told them "whatever you do, it betterbe the best". Says Brigham: "We at Nocturne have theutmost confidence in the Barco DLite 7. Not only have weused Barco product during the recent tours of Madonna andBon Jovi, but we recently provided a 9’ by 36’ Dlite 7 LEDscreen and 4 Barco ELM R12 videoprojectors for the Concertof New York".

Performers at the concert in New York ranged from PaulMcCartney, Eric Clapton, The Who, Elton John, Bon Jovi, MicJagger and Keith Richards to Billy Joel.

Also Michael B. Seligman, renowned producer and CEO ofSeligman Entertainment Inc., who is the executive producerfor the Annual Academy Awards, prefers to use Barco’s products for such large-scale events.

Michael Flatley, star of ‘Riverdance’ and ‘Lord of the Dance’, hasbecome an internationally revered phenomenon giving over 2500 performances worldwide to an audience of more than 5,000,000 people. His new production ‘Feet of Flames’ toured Europe in 2000.Barco was there.

Flatley’s production and licensing company and touring giant PSLselected Barco’s ELM projectors to display live video images on twogiant 24 x 18 foot side screens built into black drapes as an integralpart of the stage set.

“Because of the simplicity of rigging and operationof the ELM, it was the ideal solution for an application like the ‘Feet of Flames’ production,which included a variety of rigging points anddemanded a complex installation over the seatingnostra”,commented Video Crew Chief, Nigel Griffiths.

At IAA Lamborghini used three Barco ELM G10 projectors in a sideways position to display highbrightness visuals on an extremely large screenwhich few people were able to walk past withoutstopping, captivated by the visual spectacle. BMWused 14 square meters of Barco’s DLite 7 daylightdisplay solution to display extremely high brightnessand high resolution video and data images in fulldaylight while DaimlerChrysler AG showcased theMercedes C Class and other new models by usingBarco’s Dlite 7 display solution as well as ELM R12and ELM G10 projectors.

At the Leadership Summit 2000, Bill Clinton gave apersonal account of his presidency in a one-on-oneinterview which featured images and graphics

projected from a Barco ELM G10 and ELM R12 andwhich was broadcast to audiences in 15 citiesthroughout the US and Canada. Also newly electedpresident George W. Bush chose to strengthen hispresence at the Leadership Summit 2000 withBarco’s Dlite, using a display of 14” x 18” whichshowed images broadcast via satellite to Departmentof Labor locations throughout the US.
