Event Overview-Join a Different Herd-Rebrand Your Career was held at Normandale Community College on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 8am - 3pm. This was a free event sponsored by the Hennepin South Workforce Center.

• Event Ideation: Heather Isaacs, Alan Hill and Tom Reese• Event Producer: Carolyn Vinup, Normandale Community College• Event Support: Hennepin South Workforce Center, Department of Employment & Economic Development• Event Support: Leadership & Faculty at Normandale Community College• Special Thanks To: Laurie Trach, Susan Speetzen, and Pat Thiewes

Event Statistics-• Attendance 500+ (500-600 people)• Normandale Community College prepared 500 plastic bags for all attendees, we ran out before the event began.• Evaluation Forms- 329 collected • Door Prize Forms- 762 collected

Participation-• 4 moderators• 21 presenters for Morning Track• 5 presenters for Afternoon Track• 20 key supporters providing Carolyn information• 45 volunteers from a variety of resources: WFC, Job Seekers, Job Clubs, HIRED, EAC, Normandale Community College Continuing Education Staff, and Normandale Community College Faculty)• 30 Organizations• 5 Career & professional development resources • 18 Departments at Normandale Community College• 2 outside consultants

Venue-Normandale Community College-Why this worked-• Large space with multi rooms that supported presentations and learning• Breakouts placed in close proximity throughout the building to make it easier for people to navigate to breakouts and other presentation• Ample Parking and Free Parking• Students were not in session, first week of Summer Break - Buildings had space available• Java Junction, a small concession area offered coffee, beverages and simple lunches for attendees• Vending machines were available
