An unpaid trainee position to gain experience within the industry. Historically, these placements have often acted as springboards into the industry resulting in permanent positions for our students. The duration is approximately 3 months and will include a review and written reference from the placement host.

Placements give students excellent training and practical event experience. They provide students with invaluable experience in organisations that would normally not be available without our introduction and recommendation.

Students will have ample opportunity to talk to our trainers in order to establish the best type of placement to which they are suited. They will then be matched to the most suitable opportunity. The Interview and presentation skills module will help them to attain these positions by preparing students for placement interviews.

We have excellent partner relations and we have placed students in all areas of event management.

"Adam and Jo were two of my lecturers on my Postgraduate Diploma in Events Management. They have a deep understanding of the Events Industry which showed throughout the course. All the lecturers have a great knowledge of the subjects that they teach and have a clear way of explaining things. This means that for a foreigner like me, I didn't struggle to understand concepts that I had never studied before. Classes were always full of interesting examples taken from real events. always made sure that everyone got the important bits repeating things and patiently answering questions before moving on. He also pushed people to be involved in first person, so to be more prepared to real working situations, which I found really useful." M.Cristina Lorusso

What our students think “Thank you to Jo, Chris and the rest of the team for such an exciting, thorough and inspiring 14 weeks of Event Management Training! You definitely ignited and fuelled my passion for events and I have enjoyed putting the theory and practical skills learnt to good use since the course. Having looked at other courses, I would definitely recommend Terbell. The combination of the highly experienced tutors, small classes and diverse pupils made for a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. I don't think I have ever studied so hard but the distinction at the end of the day made it all worthwhile!” Wendy Hodgkinson

What our students think

“I challenge anybody to spend 10 minutes in the company of Adam Proto or Joanna Kerr and not be captivated by their gusto and passion for the event industry. Indeed, their infectious enthusiasm is only matched by their extensive knowledge of the many facets that combine together to create the role of an event manager. I can say that without any hesitation that the lecturers passion and knowledge have helped to develop my career in the event industry considerably. I have progressed further in a short time then I ever thought possible. I owe them a lot.” Kirti Swift Event Assistant – World Challenge
