DESCRIPTION :
The Regional Travel Fair is a 4-day event that will showcase a pre-event tour, a forum,
a business-to-business (B2B) sessions, and a 2-day business-to-consumer (B2C) selling
of domestic packages, participated in by invited DOT-accredited tour operators
nationwide. The fair is expected to provide great opportunity to sell domestic tour
packages, increase nationwide domestic visitor arrivals and receipts, strengthen
networking businesses and meet new industry partners and customers.
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) through the Domestic Promotions Department
will develop and implement aggressive marketing strategies in attracting,
encouraging, increasing and sustaining domestic travel businesses nationwide in
strategic partnership with local industry suppliers.
The corporation will also organize private-public initiatives in promoting local tourism
products and services through the implementation of domestic programs/activities,
package tours, special fares, sales calls, travel exchange, etc.

II. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS FROM DOT REGIONAL OFFICES & TOUR
OPERATORS 1. Mechanics for the presentation:
a. DOT Regional Offices and Tour Operators of respective regions are given a slot at the center stage for presentation;
b. A presentation can be a fun games with prizes or video of your destination or tour packages offered.
c. There will be a LED Screen provided at the pavilion activity center if you need a video presentation.
d. Maximum of 15-20 minutes per region are allotted or joint effort with respective tour operators and tourism stakeholders.
2. Your counter should be manned at all times;
3. Kindly bring your collateral materials such as brochures, give-aways and prizes for the games;
4. Utility/Storage are not available at the Pavilion you can use the GT Hotel
Bacolod;
5. Please refrain from eating at the counter;
6. Water station is available at the Pavilion;
7. Important : Please submit your evaluation to TPB Secretariat

INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS
1. The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the Marketing and Promotions agency of
the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) extend hosting of approved tour
operators and tourism stakeholders for 5th Regional Travel Fair including the
following:
• Accommodation in Seda Centrio on 21-25 August 2019 for DOT
Representatives and invited Sellers from Luzon and Visayas;
• Accommodation in Seda Centrio on 21-23 August 2019 for invited Buyers from
Region IX, IX, XII & XIII;
• Roundtrip airport-hotel-airport transfers on 21, 23 & 25 (please ensure to forward flight details in advance)
• Event’s Kit
• Official tours and transfers during the event
• Invited to all official functions
2. Outside of the official dates, all expenses (accommodation, transfers, tours, meals)
shall be on pax account.
3. Personal effects to prepare, to wit:
• Personal First-Aid kits may come in handy to include tablets for stomach-related
illnesses (some may need adjusting to tropical dishes and beverage). Bottled
water is widely available and is normally served. We urge participants not to
drink directly from the tap.
• Important: We will appreciate being advised if any of the participants are
vegetarians, or may be allergic or sensitive to food or anything in particular. We
will be happy to provide or request for options whenever possible.
• Costs and other expenses not covered during the official event dates, to wit:
- Tips, bell service, telephone bills, use of business centers, laundry and
pressing, mini bar consumption, etc.
- All other expenses not indicated as hosted
• Tipping is an option: Tour guides, and tour drivers may be extended with an
appropriate cash incentive collectively.
THE SECRETARIAT Our Team shall be delighted to be of assistance should you need further information and travel arrangements. There will be an information counter at the SEDA Centrio to claim your event’s kit.
