Ladies will meet in the FBC Gym Men will meet in the Family Life Center -

3rd floor

Child care (birth—sixth grade) will be

provided for those participating in the Sunday evening Bible study.

Youth will be joining with the studies and then

breaking off for discussion.

FBC Daycare is currently taking applications for

the 2016-2017 school year beginning in June 2016.

We currently have limited openings for the spring

2016 school year. For more information

Last Sunday we introduced a new

prayer prospective for our church

body by offering the opportunity to

commit and partner to pray for our

current High School Senior class.

Volunteers received a Senior Prayer Card with a name,

picture, and info. about one of our Seniors. By doing so they

committed to pray for that student throughout the rest of the

semester and year as that youth prepares for graduation and

beyond. If you'd like to partner with our Student Ministry in

praying for one of these, we still have a few prayer cards

left. We'd love for you to help uphold our soon-to-be

graduates in prayer! Contact Tyson in the church office for

more information.

Youth BIBLE Study! Guys’ BIBLE Study and Girls’ BIBLE Study for students in 7th-12th grade will be starting on Monday night, February 15th! Both groups will meet at the parsonage from 6:30-8:30. We will fellowship and eat dinner together, and then split up by gender. The girls will be looking at the book "Lies Young Women Believe: And the Truth That Sets Them Free", and the guys will be studying and walking through a book of the Bible. Bring your Bible, something to write with, and $5 for food. It's going to be awesome! You can't afford to miss this...

Kids on Mission Valentines for Missions Kids on Mission have prepared Valentines for you to send to family and friends that attend FBC to support missions. Valentines will be for sale Wednesday, February 10 and Sunday, February 14 prior to Sunday School. Valentines will be delivered to Sunday School classes at the end of Sunday School on February 14th. This year our mission offering will be given to Granberry Counseling Centers, a ministry of the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. Granberry Counseling Centers provide affordable Christian family counseling throughout the state of Louisiana.

Greetings First Winnfield Family,

This morning in my personal prayer time, I was amazed at

the beauty of the people of First Baptist Winnfield. I began

by praying for those who are currently struggling with

difficult situations. I prayed for many of you by name. So

many of you have faced loss, sickness, and other personal

hardships with great faith. Your strength and endurance are

a powerful example to us. Over the past few days my

heart’s meditation has centered around two verses:

1) Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted

and saves the crushed in spirit.”

2) Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens…”

Today, let me encourage you with the following. If you are

experiencing grief, hurt, and heartache remember Psalm

34:18. If you are doing well right now, look for a person or

a family that you can practice Galatians 6:2.

Finally, let me remind you where we were this past Sunday.

How are you doing with a spirit of unity, humility and

worship? Also, look ahead to this coming Sunday and read

Philippians 2:12-18 and be ready to receive the Word of

God. Pray that God would be honored and people would be

drawn to Christ.
