What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Technology

During the making of my magazine, I used a range of different technologies:Nikon camera,:Scanner, :Adobe Photoshop,:PowerPoint.

Nikon camera

I used the Nikon camera to take all of my photo’s for the magazine. During the process of shooting and editing my photo’s, I learned a lot about the camera, including changing the lighting, flash, and how different effects can be used in different locations. It allowed me to take high quality photos that I was happy to use in my magazine.

Scanner

I used the scanner to scan in images of the already existing media products, that I used for my research and planning. I also used it to scan in pictures of my ideas, like the layouts, and mind maps that I had drawn.

Adobe Photoshop

Before making my magazine, I had never before used Photoshop, and had no skills of it what so ever. This is the main thing I used to make my magazine, and it is what created the final product. Each photo I used for my magazine was edited in Photoshop in some sort of way. I learned a lot about it and now have an average skill to use Photoshop. Looking at the first draft of my front cover, I had achieved a great level of knowledge in editing and creating a product.

PowerPoint

PowerPoint was used in the making of my magazine a lot. I used it to show most of my work, from the research and planning to the evaluation, which I then uploaded to slide share, and then eventually putting all of the power points on my blog.
