WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESSOF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?

During the construction of the product I have learnt to use many different technologies in order to help my make my media product look professional. Such as a green screen, photo shop, blogger and slide share.First of all I learnt how to use the green screen in order to take my pictures for my product. I had to learn how to set up the lights and make sure I had the correct amount of light to make my photos look professional. I did have some problems with the lighting, the lighting became to bright and some of my photos have an orangey tint to them. However I overcame this after adjusting the lights and my photos then came out fine. This has taught me to make sure that I am very precise when setting up equipment so that I can get the best possible results. I also had to learn how to edit my photos closely as to get rid of all of the green from the green screen. This again took patience and skill as I had to zoom in to each of the images I wanted to use and carefully edit it out, By using the magic eraser or plain eraser tool on photo shop. This taught me that I have to be very patient and focus on what I am doing as I had to again make my images look professional. I also had to learn to use Blogger so that I could update my progress on my product. I had to learn how to make a new blog and how to write posts, upload power points/PDF’s and add labels to all of my posts. This was alot to learn and take in, I did have to take it slow and make sure that I knew how to operate everything. However after I had learnt everything I found it was an easy and simple way of showing my progress and updating images of my product. It has had a very positive impact as I can update my blog where ever I need to, unlike having to put paper copies into a A3 folder. I also had to learn how to use Slide Share so that I could put power points/PDF’s onto my blog. I had to figure out to embed my power points so I could copy them onto my blog post. But after I learnt how to do this, I found that slide share is a quick and easy way to upload my work onto my blogs. I also had to learn how to use Photo Shop to edit my product. I had to learn how to add images to the page, edit my images, add text, and draw on shapes. It is was very complex as it is like nothing I have ever used before. However once I had learned the basics it was quite easy to use. It had a good impact on my finished product as it made it look professional and very much like the real thing.
