Suggestions for the Future of the INFluence Initiative

• Making amendments to mini-grant application to reflect changes after award notification

• Online toolkit should feature files that can be easily adapted by local grantees

• Evaluation of resources emailed out to participants using listserv on achieving the Action Items

• Promote INFluence using social media• Identifying INFluence as an ongoing, year-

round initiative rather than a one-day event using coalition development

Page 17: Evaluation of the INFluence Program Presented by: Tristan Kirby Intern, Office of Women’s Health Indiana State Department of Health

Suggestions for Future INFluence Evaluation

•Problems with post-forum survey and response card strategy

•Updating the Call to Action list•Editing survey questions to appropriately

measure behavior change•Educating local communities on what

topics speakers should cover – that relate to survey questions

•Length of 3 month survey

Page 18: Evaluation of the INFluence Program Presented by: Tristan Kirby Intern, Office of Women’s Health Indiana State Department of Health

Conclusion

•More than 80% of 3 month survey respondents report sharing the INFluence message with one or more women

•Participants in an INFluence program are spreading the message of heart health to other women in their circle of INFluence.
