AEWS operation

• Comprehensive multinational test was organized in the frame of the APCEG-11: all PIACs participated actively and were able to perform the major tasks within the system given by the test instructions;

• The APC EG agreed that in case that information on radioactivity in water accident would reach a PIAC it will be communicated via the Danube AEWS using Substance Category “Others” and the description “radioactivity” or similar. The Secretariat will adjust the AEWS operations manual accordingly.

Risk assessment

• On-going data revision/fine-tuning based on harmonized selection criteria (all SEVESO/UNECE sites in the DRB)

• APC EG to revise and complete the pre-filled AHS data and to upload the completed AHS datasets to DanubeGIS by 31 July 2019

• Technical report on AHS will be updated and finalized in 2019

• Further efforts needed to identify and assess CS

Tailings management facilities

• Tailing Hazard Index developed in UA to be applied: simple hazard index using basic TMF data (volume, hazard class, dam parameters);

• APC EG agreed to finalise the data review and approval process and to upload the final TMF templates to DanubeGIS by end of June 2019;

• TMFs to be prioritized in the DRB based on hazard index;• Demonstration training events for inspectors and

operators and hazard assessment on TMFs in the DRB (project support).
