Ministry of Interior Honors the European Guarding & Security Services

Co. with a Coat of ArmsThe Director of General Guards Department, Brigadier Ahmad Jassem Al Jufairi announced to the local newspapers on 08/07/2011 that the European Guarding & Security Services Co. is one of the companies distinguished for their work. Its staff have effectively contributed to the virtual evacuation operation, which proves that the Company provides its staff with high level training that makes them perform their duties with competence and efficiency. In appreciation of their noble humanitarian work, Brigadier Ahmad Jassem Al Jufairi, the Director of General Guards Department, honored a number of the staff of the European Guarding & Security Services Co. for their distinguished role in evacuating a tower on fire and their contribution in containing the fire. The Director of the General Guards Department conveyed the regards and thanks of HE the Director General of General Security to the Company staff and wished them success in their endeavors. He emphasized the Ministry›s appreciation of everyone who performs their role and helps maintain the security and safety of the homeland and seeks to establish the concept of security as a common responsibility. The Director of the General Guards Department wished the honored staff all the success in their lives and more communication and cooperation with the security departments. Brigadier Ahmad Al Jufairi presented a commendation certificate and coat of arms to Mr. Dhafer Hashem, the Manager of the Company. The staff who participated in the evacuation operation were also honored.

The facts of the operation go back to 03/08/2011 when a patrol of the Private Security Companies Section of the General Guards Department was performing its duties to ensure that companies comply with the Law organizing the work of private security companies and the its executive decisions and carry out the functions of control and inspection according to Law No. 19 of 2009. It was observed that six employees were absent. Upon enquiry, it was found that the said employees were absent from work because they were at the hospital for treatment of breathing problems and minor injuries sustained as a result of their voluntary participation in controlling a fire that broke out in one of the towers.

Being keen on having all its guards fully knowledgeable and aware of the tasks assigned to them, the European Guarding & Security Services Co. set up a center specialized in the educating and training guards and developing their abilities in the field of installation protection, civil defense, first aid security awareness and guidance, in order to graduate a new generation of guards who are capable of meeting all security requirements. This Center is approved by the Ministry of Interior. The Center offers training courses on a regular basis at its Company premises.

Training at the Center is provided by a group of highly competent and specialized trainers, who are well versed in the latest security technologies and practices and who have received approved training based on methodologies derived from the high level security service.

The Institute continually organizes theoretical and practical training courses as follows:

» Lectures on the duties and tasks of guards and how to carry out such works so as to fulfill the clients’ wishes.

» Lectures on the Company’s work system and the rules and bases by which it operates.

» Introduction to the State of Qatar by explaining the customs, traditions, and laws applicable in Qatar which must

be abided by.

» Theoretical and practical lectures on first aid and quick response in cases of emergency that require quick

intervention.

» Training lectures on how to use security and safety devices and equipment.

» Technical lectures where training is offered on the ways to use communications equipment and surveillance

camera monitoring rooms, metal detectors, and other devices used in security and guarding.

» Lectures on the development of abilities in the field of installation protection, civil defense, evacuation, and

public relations.

Our security staff are the main source of our power. From this perspective, the European Guarding & Security

Services Co. has laid down principles and rules by which each of its security staff are selected. As to the language,

the Company is keen on having all its security staff fluent in both the Arabic and the English languages. As to

nationality, the Company has guards from different Arab and Asian nationalities (Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan,

Eretria, Ethiopia, Kenya, The Philippines, Indonesia, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh) and other different

nationalities.

The Company is also keen on having its guards with the appreciate appearance and suitable build, as to the weight

and height, according to the required characteristics of security guards. In order to provide its clients with the

best services, the Company works hard on providing the guards with good and advanced training, after receiving

security training (theoretical – practical) at the Institute the Company established for this purpose.

We have guards trained in how to used guarding technologies, such as surveillance cameras, search tools, metal

detectors, and the use of computers connected to the surveillance camera network and alarm and fire devices.

The guards are trained in how to deal with emergencies, act promptly, and take necessary measures in such cases.

All the guards working for the Company have a high level of competence and professionalism through the

Company’s continuous efforts to provide all the services needed by the guards, such as suitable accommodation,

modern means of transportation to take the guards from and to their work sites in full comfort, in order to create

a suitable work environment for the guards so that they may perform their assigned duties in the best manner.

The Company also provides the suitable uniform for its security staff after having it approved by the Generation

Guards Department of the Ministry of Interior.

The Company also provides health and medical insurance for its staff by entering into a contract with one of the

largest hospitals in the State of Qatar.

The Company improves the staff performance through specialists who give full contribution to the success of

such groups and the use of the best supervision and follow-up methods on all levels, and prepare the suitable

environment where the one team spirit, as well as the Company’s goals and values, is preserved.

We own the latest equipment made available by guarding technologies, such as wired and radio communication devices, and visible surveillance systems, comprising cameras motion sensors.

إدارة احلراسات العامة العميد/ أحمد جاسم اجلفيري للصحف احمللية بتاريخ 2011/07/08م أن الشركة األوروبية من صرح السيد مدير الشركات املتميزة في عملها، وساهم موظفيها مساهمة فعالة في عملية اإلخالء املبدئي، مما يؤكد قيام الشركة بتدريب أفرادها تدريبا عاليا حتى يقوموا بأداء مهامهم بكل كفاءة واقتدار. وتقديرا ملا قاموا به من عمل إنساني نبيل قام العميد/أحمد جاسم اجلفيري مدير إدارة احلراسات العامة بتكرمي عدد من موظفي الشركة األوروبية للحراسة واخلدمات األمنية لدورهم املتميز في إخالء أحد األبراج نشب به حريق وساهم موظفي الشركة في احلد من انتشار احلريق. وقد نقل العميد/ مدير إدارة احلراسات العامة حتيات وشكر سعادة مدير عام األمن العام إلى موظفي الشركة ومتنياته لهم بالنجاح والتوفيق في أعمالهم ، مؤكدا على تقدير الوزارة لكل من يقوم بدوره ويساعد في حفظ أمن الوطن وسالمته ويعمل على ترسيخ مفهوم األمن كمسئولية مشتركة, ومتنى مدير إدارة احلراسات العامة للمكرمني التوفيق والنجاح في حياتهم واملزيد من التواصل والتعاون مع األجهزة األمنية. وقدم العميد احمد اجلفيرى شهادة تقدير ودرعا تذكاريا للسيد/ظافر هاشم مدير

الشركة كما مت تكرمي املوظفني الذين شاركوا في عملية اإلخالء. وتعود الوقائع إلى تاريخ 2011/08/3م عندما كانت دورية من قسم الشركات األمنية اخلاصة بإدارة احلراسات العامة تقوم بعملها للتأكد من قيام الشركات بتنفيذ قانون تنظيم مزاولة اخلدمات األمنية اخلاصة والقرارات املنفذة له والقيام بأعمال الرقابة والتفتيش وفقاً للقانون رقم (19) لسنة 2009. ولوحظ غياب ستة موظفني وباإلستفسار تبني بأن املوظفني غائبني عن العمل بسبب تواجدهم في املستشفى لتلقي

العالج من ضيق في التنفس وجروح بسيطة نتيجة مشاركتهم طواعية في إطفاء حريق نشب في احد األبراج .

حاصل على موافقة وزارة الداخلية ،ويعقد املركز دورات تدريبية بصفة دورية وذلك مبقر مركز التدريب اخلاص بالشركة .

ويقوم بالتدريب في املركز نخبة من الكوادر ذات الكفاءة العالية واملتخصصة ،فهم مطلعون على أحدث التكنولوجيات واملمارسات األمنية وقد حصلوا على تدريب معتمد على منهجيات مستقاة من مبادئ اخلدمة األمنية على مستوى عالي .

ويقوم املعهد وبصفة مستمرة بتنظيم دورات تدريبية نظرية وعملية على النحو التالي :-
