The European Food Festival, held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the EU-China diplomatic relations, officially opened last Thursday October 29th, in the presence of EU Delegation representatives, Huangpu District officials and EU member states Consuls.

The festival, located on the prestigious Bund promenade, offers a large range of European delicacies : Spanish tapas, Dutch cheese, Austrian chocolate, Irish beers, Czech mineral water, Greek tzatiski, French Boeuf Bourguignon, Italian pasta… to name a few. This variety of food would delight anyone’s taste buds !

The event is composed of 32 booths (wooden chalets and pagoda tents) held by restaurants, food importers and wine and beverage distributors or producers. A seating area, a kids cooking corner and a stage are also part of the setting. The venue, alongside the Huangpu river, offers fantastic views of the Bund.

Stage performances include Disciples Escoffier cooking demonstrations, Pizza shows, Beer tasting and games, Thermomix cooking shows and live music bands.

On week-ends, the children enjoy their own cooking corner with Belgian waffles decorating and pizza making :
