• Established in 1961. – 14703 students, 4337 Engineers, 279 M.Sc. and 68 Ph.D.
• Fully employed teaching staff: 51 (32+19), • Part time: 80 (18+72).• Current academic year:
– Undergraduate students 1400 – Graduate students 200
• Located in University Campus, in recently reconstructed building with area of 3200 m2. with additional working area of about 1700m2. in construction.
• Departments:- Automatics and Electronics,- Computing and Informatics,- Power Engineering and- Telecommunications.

• Curriculum revision and refinement after the first generation completing Bachelor programme (Summer 2008)

– QA institutionalised provided with improved student success data processing
• QA regulations at the University and Canton level
• Developed and launched web based information system for students assessment data processing
– Finances – does not provide persistent maintenance of the achieved quality – provisions for teaching staff training and R&D activities needed
