Mumbai is the city where people from different religions and origins are settled, so we find almost all the types of food from all over the country. From chole and rajma from north to idlis and dosas in the south.
Vada pav is like a Indian burger. It is made of potato which is deep fried. It is eaten by each and every person in India and can be afforded by every one. It is among the cheapest foods in Mumbai. • Pav bhajiPav bhaji is a Maharashtrian fast food dish that originated in Mumbai cuisine. It is native to Mumbai and has now become very popular. Pav originates from the Portuguese Pao, which means bread. Bhaji in Marathi means vegetable dish. Pav bhaji consists of bhaji (a thick potato-based curry) garnished with coriander, chopped onion, and a dash of lemon and lightly toasted pav. The pav is usually buttered on all sides.

• The Panipuri is a popular street snack in India especially Mumbai. It consists of a round, hollow
puri, fried crisp and filled with a mixture of flavored water , tamarind chutney, chaat masala, potato,
onion and chickpeas. It is generally small enough to fit completely into one's mouth.

of chutneys: tamarind, chili and garlic and topped with sev.
Dahi Puri Dahi puri is
an Indian snack which is especially popular in the state of Maharashtra. The dish is a form of chaat and originates from the city of Mumbai. It is served with mini-puri shells, which are more popularly recognized from the dish pani puri. Dahi puri and pani puri chaats are often sold from the same vendor, along with various other chaats.

Maharashtrian families, you will rarely find a badly made kanda poha dish. This simple, easy to make snack is made with kanda (onions) and poha (flaked rice) mixed with chopped potatoes and green chillies, sometimes even peas. Tempered with mustard seeds and garnished with fresh coriander and a squeeze of lime, it lights up dull days.
