Nucleus The nucleus is basically the brain of the

entire cell. It sits in the middle of the cell and commands everything. Think of it as city hall. Whatever it says, they do.

Mitochondria The mitochondria sits upon the nucleus.

What the mitochondria does it converts all of the food in the cell so that it is able to move. Without the mitochondria, the cell would basically die . Think of it as a recycling bin. It turns old into new.

Golgi Bodies Golgi Bodies story and package

molecules. Think of it as FedEx. It ships and packages objects.

Vaccuoles Vacuoles store and package water. It

gives out water if the cell ever needs nutrient. Vacuoles are much like a water fountain. It gives out water if you are thirsty.

Cytoplasm Centrioles covers the entire part of the

cell. It basically helps everything stay in place. Its like a jello like substance. Everything inside it moves, except the jello.

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum R.E.R

R.E.R moves proteins. It turns anything it possibly can into proteins. Proteins is in a lot of things, like a chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwiches have a lot of protein.

Page 8: Eukaryote Cell parts and analogies

Smooth Endoplasmic Riticulum S.E.R is the total opposite of R.E.R.

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum makes lipids, or fats. The cell needs fats in order to move and such. An analogy would be McDonalds. It gives you fat, but it helps you live.

Page 9: Eukaryote Cell parts and analogies

Ribosomes Ribosome's is partially the same as R.E.R.

Instead of making proteins, it moves proteins. An analogy for that would be a protein shake factory. It supplied protein.

Lysosomes A lysosome is where all of the trash and

dump gets taken too. After everything is used, it gets sent to the Lysosome. An analogy for a lyposome would be a dumpster. Anything old, gets thrown in the trash.

Cell membraneThe cell membrane controls what comes in

and goes out of the cell. The cell membrane is like a bouncer or even a security guard. If it doesn't let you in, you don’t get in.

Centrioles Centrioles help the cell reproduce.

Without, you would die because you can’t always have the same amount of cells. It is like a hospital, it help people reproduce.
