The Original Origin Of EtsyNow!
Etsy Now! was created in 2013 by David Thrift. It began as it's own niche specific directory promoting handcrafted products made and sold by creators on Etsy. It was it's owner's first venture into maintaining a business directory. Etsy Now!'s website which is no longer maintained online, gained much popularity during it's active time with over 3K visitors to the site in a very short time period with consumers who love buying handmade products. It's service went on hiatus by the owner due to being ran as a non-funded hobby more or less for the experience until 2019 when Etsy Now! was revived and brought to light again by it's owner as an integral free digital pamphlet coinciding with the owners directory, The Junkyard (Blogs & Business Directory), at www.jybdir.com established in 2018, which promotes all aspects of business large or small and bloggers across the United States.
As a lifetime creator himself, David loves promoting great craftwork in Etsy Now!'s current digital pamphlet format, however fully encourages creators to list their business (whether it's on Etsy or other business type) at

How Does Etsy Now! Curate Etsy Shops When FeaturingThem In It's Publication?
It's extremely important to us that we are presenting only the best Etsy shops when gathering content for ourpublication. After all, we have made it our job to provide our viewers with only the best shops we can find. What we look for is very simple actually, and things we know consumers would be interested in. We look for originality, positive reviews, and presentation style of products. We also look at sellers profiles to see how well they are connecting with their customers (infoabout their work, how they got started, and what

When we see something cool, we go check out the shop. From there, if we think the whole shop should be featured based onall the things mentioned, then we probably will. We're extremely grateful that Etsy provides the option in it's search filters to display shops that are resident in the United States only, since we only promote artisans in the United States in our directory and publications. Andthat's pretty much the process we use to collect shops to be featured in Etsy Now!
Why Such Limited Info In Your Etsy Shop Recommendations?
Our publication is free, gathering content and editing isvery time consuming, and our time is very valuable. We pinpoint great Etsy shops among thousands and give you just enough information for any we feature to spark your interest and show you the shop is worth yourtime to go check out (otherwise we wouldn't mention it). From there you can view all of the information that the artisan who runs the shop provides for you to make your buying decisions. The listings we provide in this publication are styled in a "classified ads" type of way for quick reading.

Are Any Seller's Shops Ever Featured More Than Once In Etsy Now!'s Publications?
No, well not intentionally. We maintain a strict checklist to ensure any Etsy shop featured freely is onlyfeatured once, ever, and we do not accept solicitations or requests to be featured. Any artisans (including any that may have previously been featured) wishing to advertise their business on Etsy or similar platform in an ongoing manner can get listed in our directory at www.jybdir.com and be listed on our website, our Courtesy Mentions Magazine, and ongoing in each issue of Etsy Now! as a VIP listing. We have a specific section in our directory for creators on Etsy and similar platforms to get listed. Some Etsy shops may be listed as an "Artisan's Favorite" in one of our publications however because that section generally lists hundreds of urls to various shops, we do not check those listings to see if those shops have been previously selected as an official featured shop.
How Does Etsy Now! Keep Current With The Most Active Etsy Shops?
Our publication is dependent on providing the latest and greatest Etsy shops that are producing new and

amazing handmade products. In our opinion, it doesn't matter if a shop has been on Etsy since Etsy opened it's doors. What matters is that a shop is staying as current as possible, producing new items consistently and is showing up in the newest items searches we perform when curating our publication. The newest items in a search found by "most recent" will always indicate a shop that is staying current with the times by an artisan who loves what he or she is doing, and therefore could be eligible for curation into our publication. This however does not exclude shops that don't update theirinventory as often. We also perform searches for shops that have great items for sale, but that may be slower in producing more inventory by "relevant" searches. No two artisans are the same, and all of them produce their work at different rates. This doesn't mean their inventory isn't as valuable as others if they haven't updated their inventory in awhile.

It is one of the best places on the internet that I know of to find just the right stock photos for your needs. I use it personally 100% for all stock photos I need for the publications I produce. It's also a great place in my opinion to find some great photographers, or just browse through thousands of beautiful photos. Because of Unsplash's "use for anything" policy, we at Etsy Now are able to share with you some favorite photography and will be doing so as bonus content in each issue of Etsy Now going forward.
