Mt. Chimborazo, Ecuador. 20,230 ft.
Travel cost: $2000 + airfare to Quito. This includes all meals, lodging, and travel within
Ecuador for four weeks.
Undergraduates with 2.75 min. GPA are eligible for $2500 scholarship for these
study abroad courses!

Tropical Botany

One month in Ecuador. 3 credit hours.
Travel to high Andes "paramo",
Amazon rain forests, Pacific coastal mangroves, cloud forest, desert, and a
petrified forest.
Conduct plant surveys & make herbarium collections in field sites.
Learn about tropical food and medicinal
plants.
Study and travel with a group of Ecuadorian biology students.
Spanish Language and Latin American Culture
Taught by Dr. Jerome Mwinyelle, ETSU Department of Foreign Languages
For students enrolled Tropical Botany
course. One month in Ecuador. 3 credit hours.
For beginning or advanced Spanish.
Learn Spanish as you travel and study
plants with Ecuadorian students.
See museums, markets, farms, universities, cathedrals and gardens.
Explore Quito, Guaranda, and other cities and towns across Ecuador.
