I would like to apply on a vacant job position on Consultancy “Environment and Social Safeguard Specialist” posted by your organization on April 7, 2019. I believe that my educational background that I have on environmental and biological issues will make me a best candidate on the posted position. On the other hand, I have MSc. in Environmental Science, B.Sc. in Biology and BA in Economics being graduated from Ambo University, Addis Ababa University and Haramaya University, respectively. Through these subjective matters, I have a lot of scientific knowledge and consciousness.

Moreover, my collectively 18 + years work experience, and my service rendering in different government sectors and universities, and non-government institutions like IWMI, ILRI and PASIDP also make me a best competent. In particular, I have direct and related work experience to the vacant job position posted by having worked on environmental research coordination duties on environmental issues at district level in International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in collaboration with international livestock research institute (ILRI) and Ambo University. Similarly, I had been working on community and ecosystem development and impacts management affairs being serving as Environmental Monitoring and Evaluation expert in Law College of Haramaya University on Peace Centers for Climate and Social Resilience (PCCSR) project funded by USAID. Moreover, I had served as environmental expert and instructor in Jibat district of west Shewa Zone of Oromia Regional state. Currently, since March 21, 2017, I have been working as a Regional Social and Environmental Safeguard Specialist on Oromia level Participatory Small-scale Irrigation Development Programme-II (PASIDP-II) of Bureau of Agriculture and Natural Resource.

In general, I have enough work experience on natural resource management issues through integrated watershed management approaches, and on implementation of different natural resources’ policies, strategies and legal frameworks of our country in project works as well as on implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation measures for building resilient livelihood and ecosystem on sustainable basis for poor rural community of our country, and development of environmental health as well both at potentially high rainfall farming areas, and at extremely opposite weather conditions of semi arid pastoral community areas of the country. I am also smart in designing a project framework, developing plans and tools for monitoring and evaluation system as well as am very neat in data collection, organization, presentation/summarization and reporting to the concerned bodies.
