ETCO Incorporated was founded in 1947 as Electric Terminal Corporation. The original company

produced wall plug blades in strip form for attachment by the customer on a patented air operated

machine. ETCO, which recently celebrated its 63rd anniversary, still produces wall plug blades to

this day.

As the years went on the company expanded the product line into thousands of different products,

both stock and custom designed proprietary products tooled for our customer's individual needs.

Our proprietary products currently represent approximately half of ETCO’s sales.

The company now has two divisions plus a separate R&D facility. One division provides electronic

connectors to a wide variety of industries while the other division serves the automotive industry

and its unique needs.

At ETCO we believe that old values and customer service should still be the rule. At ETCO we won't

take an order unless we can guarantee on time delivery and exact conformance to your requirements.

At ETCO all managers, (including myself) are accessible and are totally dedicated to customer

satisfaction.

The founders of ETCO had very basic values based on integrity. Today we still live by those values,

even as we pursue innovative products that will serve our customers needs in the decades ahead.

History & Values

History, R&D and RacingOld Values, New Ideas

The R & D Division in Florida is totally focused on improving current product offerings and developing

new products that better serve our customers needs. For example, the patented Flat-Snap product that

we introduced recently has generated orders from a wide variety of industries. Flat-Snap is arguably the

most innovative new product in the connector business in over 100 years.

At ETCO R&D we also test and develop automotive products in conjunction with our own racing program.

Our flagship Pontiac GTO has led us to develop rugged automotive components that produce more

torque and speed than ever before and they consistently exceed SAE requirements. We never stop

pushing the quality (and speed) envelope.

The Engineered Products division, located in Warwick, Rhode Island, is the original ETCO division and

has been the breeding ground for the other successful ETCO divisions. This division’s dedication to

investing in new technologies and manufacturing techniques has enabled Engineered Products to

constantly evolve and stay ahead of its customer’s ever changing needs.

Engineered Products supplies over 1,500 standard connector products including rings, spades,

disconnects, pins and receptacles. Our customers include manufacturers of appliances, lighting

fixtures, wire harnesses, motors, medical devices, and consumer electronics products among others.

The Automotive Products division was started in Bradenton, Florida in 1978. It was established as an

independent division to concentrate on and become the industry leader in the ignition components

business. Small company response with large company resources enabled the division to grow from

a modest 5,000 square-foot facility producing 500,000 components per year to a 60,000 square-foot

facility producing 450,000,000 components a year.

Automotive Products division supplies original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers

with high quality spark plug and distributor terminals, as well as rubber insulators. These components

are then attached to wire and booted using specially designed equipment at the customer's facility.

All ETCO products are supported by application equipment that we produce in-house. The equipment

includes mini-style applicators, presses and autoband machines.

Our versatile next generation applicators can be used for bench work or in automated lines, and they

handle a wide range of wire sizes and terminals. Our applicators are dependable and include the

benefits of adjustable crimp heights, quick-change tooling and high speed output.
