MANAGER’S MESSAGEDear Members,

It is hard to believe the Holiday Season is upon us. Year’s end and the beginning of the New Year will bea challenge as the entire athletic floor will be renovated. Athletics/Wellness Director Paul Lewis and theAthletic Committee have worked tirelessly on a plan to transform the area into the newest state of the artfacility - at a cost of nearly $150,000. Included are additional treadmills and recumbent bikes as well as3 Arc Trainers - the latest in cardio fitness from CYBEX. The plan also calls for 14 strength trainingmachines, 2 hi tech rowers that allow for side by side competition and a revolutionary stretchingmachine. The free weight area will have additional new benches; urethane covered plates, dumbbells andbarbells … and the racks to hold them. For the Spin Room 8 new spin bikes have been ordered. TheAerobic and Pilates Rooms will have new mats, bands, foam rollers, rings and stability balls. A list ofnew functional training equipment is included. New art work will be installed, and a Zen Room formeditating will be introduced. Carpet will be replaced on the athletic floor, throughout Courtside anddown the hallways to the garage and Locker Rooms. Your Club will officially enter the 21st century.

Of course, as with all physical improvements there will be an inconvenience to both Members and staff. Thechanges will require closing the floor for approximately one week. During that time, Paul Lewis willschedule group classes and group functional training in the Gym and Racquetball Courts. Please look fornotices regarding the revised schedules and dates.

Health, Fitness and Wellness Upgrade

December 2007 will see the beginning of significant upgrades of the Athletics/WellnessDepartment. We thank all Ravinia Members for their patience in improving thequality of infrastructure at the Ravinia Club. We will be significantly upgrading theathletics floor. With these upgrades will be an initiative for an even greater andimproved dynamics from our staff toward you, Ravinia Members. We pride ourselveson the connection we create with you, and it is our objective to provide a professionalservice and interaction that differentiates us from other health clubs. Look for postingsregarding the new and innovative programs that are being planned for 2008.

Mega Martial ArtsThe Ravinia Club offers Members and non-members one of the most extensive martialarts programs in Atlanta. Mega Martial Arts teaches you the arts of self-defense,discipline, confidence and combat. Programs offered are suitable for adults andchildren and include: Kick-boxing; Kung Fu; Boxing; Gracie Jui-Jitsu; Kids Karate;Qigong; Weapons. Lecture SeriesRavinia Lunch and Learns continue to meet with overwhelming success. Ravinia’s Dynamic Group Fitness ClassesSix days a week the Ravinia Club offers a wide variety of group fitness classes tochallenge, motivate and enhance your physical fitness. All classes have a social
