Act of Spiritual Communion There is a beautiful tradition of making an Act of Spiritual Communion. Below is an example:

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

First Communion at St. Augustine Church St. Augustine’s First Communion has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 28th at 7 PM. Practice will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 7 PM in the church. The Mass will be live-streamed for the public to be able to participate.

Contact St. Joseph school for all the details, 264-2600. Leave a message and your call will be returned during summer office hours.

St. Joseph School Summer Office Hours St. Joseph School’s Summer Office hours are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 am to noon. The Parish Office hours will remain the same, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Interim Mass Time change at St. Augustine Church To help alleviate crowds at our Masses, Fr. Mi-chael has added an additional Mass at 7 AM on Sundays at St. Augustine Church. Therefore the

normal 8 AM Mass will be temporarily held at 8:30 AM at St. Augustine Church. We will continue to have the 4 PM Mass at St. Joseph and the 6 PM Mass at St. Augustine on Saturdays and the 10 AM Mass at St. Joseph on Sundays.

Prayers Requested Msgr. Raymond Orf remains hospitalized at Mercy South in St. Louis after his recent fall. He has pneumonia and is in stable condition and is improving. Please keep Msgr. Orf in your prayers.

Diocesan Development Fund Appeal In a few weeks, we will be conducting our Diocesan Devel-opment Fund Campaign. I know some of you are suffering financially and may not be able to contribute this year. However, if you are able to contribute, we ask that you consider a pledge. If those parishioners who are able to contribute would give a little more, it could make up for those parishioners who are not able to donate this year.

All of our registered households should have received a DDF mailing by now. If you have not received the mail-ing, please call Tammy Stander at 417-866-0841. She will mail you the information. Please review the materials. We are stressing participation. We need for all of us to work together, especially this year. Every gift helps.
