Liquefied Gases-- are gases at normal temperature and pressure

that are compressed to a liquid state and usually stored under their own vapor pressure at the prevailing ambient temperature.

Hazardous Gases-- are gases that have a potential for injury to life, limb or property at

relatively low concentrations.- Some common gases used in water and waste treatment plants are

Chlorine or Cl2, Sulfur Dioxide or SO2 and Ammonia or NH3.

Advancements in Chlorine Abatement Technology

Treatment Evolved from:•Solution-By-Dilution •To Ejector Gas Recycle•To ‘Once-Through’ Ejector/Packed Tower •To Low Profile Wet MVP (Multi Venturi Packless) •To Dry Chemical Adsorbent Scrubbers

STWP Inc / EST is the only qualified supplier capable of supplying all three forms of accepted emergency scrubbing technologies: 1. Wet Packed 2. Wet Packless (MVP) 3. Dry Emergency Scrubber Systems

Performance Testing

• Certified Test Data - independent testing laboratories, third party consultants

• Meet or exceed “Worst-Case” hazardous gas release rates

• Scrubber exhaust - never to exceed code established discharge concentrations
