Home Share is a service run by host carers who welcome a small group of customers into their own home for the day.

The support aims to help you be as independent as possible with the opportunity for social interaction within a small group. As part of your day you will be provided with a two-course home cooked meal. If cooking is something you enjoy then you could help prepare the meal for other customers. There is also a wide range of other activities available which vary from location to location but include reminiscence, games, arts and crafts, quizzes and walks. With agreement of others in your group, trips and visits out into the local community including lunch at a nearby café or a visit to the local garden centre can be arranged.

Pricing Information

A full day Home Share session lasts between five and six hours and costs £29.50.

VAT will be charged where applicable. Home Share runs five days a week from Monday – FridayUsual hours are from 9.00am - 5.00pm however times may vary slightly depending on location.

All host carers are fully checked and trained to the same high standards of other individuals within Essex Cares. We ensure appropriate placements by risk assessing and matching prospective customers responsibly.
