What do these items have in common? They tell a family story about migration or immigration Student Assignment Students will reflect on immigration/migration using the symbol of a personal object, then writes an essay about how the object relates to their family’s immigration/migration experience. The story may focus on a real object they still possess, or the memory of an object they or a family member once had. Students will submit a photo or drawing of their selected object, the person that their story is about, and a 300 word essay for the digital exhibit.
