There is plenty of water in them thar Ice Cubes when you drink--The Good Stuff also!!!

Something I didn't know either! I asked my Doctor why do I and other peo-ple urinate so much at night time. Answer from my Cardiac Doctor = Grav-ity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright (legs swell). When you lie down and the lower body (legs and etc) seeks level with the kidneys it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier. This then ties in with the last statement!

I knew you need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but this was news to me. Correct time to drink water... Very Impor-tant. . Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:

2 glasses after waking up—helps activate internal organs 1 glass 30 minutes before a meal—helps digestion 1 glass before taking a bath –helps lower blood pressure 1 glass before going to bed—avoids stroke or heart attack; helps prevent night time leg cramps—muscles are seeking hy-

3. Vista Donna McElroy reports the following: Dayton student Rosa Gudino received a phone call from a Calif. friend who works as a house-keeper but does not speak English well. This woman’s employer gave her a note which the house-keeper could not understand. Our student, Rosa, was able to tell her friend what the note said. Next, the employer called our student Rosa with more requests for the housekeeper. Rosa understood all that the woman said and was able to call her friend explaining what she needed to do. Rosa had her self-esteem increased being able to help others.

I received a call from Frank Taylor, 885-7579, Kit Carson Toastmaster Club He Read our Letter to Editor in NV Ap-peal: He is suggesting that our students attend as guests regarding public speaking. Meets at Grandma Hattie’s Restau-rant, 2811 S. Carson St., Carson City Tues – 6:30 am – can go 2-3x times as guest for breakfast meeting….or… Tues – Noon: go as guest for lunch …..or…... Thurs – 6pm – includes dinner

Our program would not be as successful as it is without the help of our currently active 137 community volunteer tutors, and our five (5) AmeriCorps/Vista members. Our vision is to engage the whole community in building literacy. They get out and talk about the importance of literacy. Our goal is to make connections and build relationships. When it makes sense, we create new partnerships with community groups. At other times, we simply help to “connect the dots” by intro-ducing agencies to other partners that make sense for them. It is all about building community. Literacy is not just about reading and writing; it is about respect, opportunity and development.

ESL In-Home Program of Northern Nevada provides an individualized approach to teaching adults the skills they need for personal growth and employment. The Program works with many immigrant individuals and those whose lives were devas-tated by trauma, chemical and alcohol abuse. We provide the critical education for clients to reach their full potential. We help them to gain the self-confidence they need to move on. In this regard, because we are growing rapidly, we need funds to purchase additional instructional material to help the people on our waiting list who are anxious to learn to speak, read, write and understand English, some wanting GED preparation, and computer literacy. Because classifies call for computer skills, it was necessary to start a Computer Literacy class. Some students who are taking the class learned that some companies re-quire you to apply for a job through the Internet. That’s another reason learning the computer is necessary. Now one in then-class knows how to apply for a job on the computer. He can fill out an application. He hopes to find a job in anything really. “I like coming and learning, and learning about computers,” he says, “even if it takes so long.”
