  • Knowing the difference between vowels and consonants are critical when learning to read and speak English. Luckily, its easy! :D

  • Vowels usually have two different pronunciations. In English, we refer to these as Long and Short sounds.

    A long vowel says its name.

  • Rule 1:When a word has two vowels, usually the first vowel says its name and the secondvowel is silent.
