Introduction

This support document is designed to assist educational institutions in assessing, planning, conducting and completing evaluations on institutional capabilities and educational effectiveness. In addition to its core purpose of providing a valid and reliable foundation for school planning, it is used to identify areas for improvement and celebrate successes. Observance of the following protocols is fundamental to an effective school evaluation process.

The Assessment Toolkit is designed to help schools find resources and tools, and get feed back about the current standard of the institution. Moreover assessment tools used to help schools: • Generate data and evidence for school improvement and evaluation purposes. • Gain support for improvement initiatives. • Create baseline measures for school improvement (pre- and post- measures).
